It is ideally located to tour a variety of departments in France, this could be a summer or winter holiday rental or perhaps you are looking to purchase in France & are looking for a property to discover your dream home. St Benoit Du Sault is a medieval plus beau village of France, situated in stunning picturesque countryside that has inspired many artists/writers & musicians. Within access to this romantic locality are attractions EG: Lake Eguzon known for its water sports and picturesque vistas, the Brenne National Park & its 1000 plus lakes & countless wildlife, see Red Deer grazing or Wild Boar looking for truffles. This will appeal to walkers, photographers, cyclists & Anglers. To the south is Limoges, close by the haunting scene of a Nazi massacre, Oradour-Sur-Glane. Further South is the Dordogne and Toulouse. There are budget flights with Easy Jet & Ryanair.

La Maison Joly is a medieval village house, set in the picturesque French plus beau village of St Benoit Du Sault. The village has a number of shops, banks, a supermarket, restaurant, bars and with two petrol stations every thing you need. The Locality is known for its beautiful romantic vistas, travel a short distance and you will happen upon the swimming Lake Chaillic it has a beach, a bar/snack bar, angling facilities and good swimming. 11k away find the stunning Lake Eguzon a man made lake stretches for miles and offers all water sports, restaurants and bars for the smaller child there is a waterslide. The area is famed for its mystical fairy tale castles and chateau, some privately owned, some open for tourism. The Brenne National Park has everything for walkers, cyclists, wildlife enthusiasts. The region is mainly flat and has the second best climate in the whole of France. There are a number of Towns and Villages worth a visit for a better description visit our website.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this wonderful house. The house was very clean and very thoughtfully and tastefully presented. it was also very well equipped. The house itself and the whole village were fascinating, evocative and historic. We were there during a festival and there was also lots to do around the village like pony rides, fireworks and fairs. If you want to immerse yourself in French history and culture for a few days you won't get a better house than this. Excellent value.

We stayed at Maison Joly in August 09. It is a marvelous old house, with huge rooms very tastefully restored by the owners. It feels much more a home than a holiday rental. You get a real sense of history staying there! It's located right in the center of the medieval village of St Benoit du Sault, with restaurant and bars and shops just around the corner. There is a larger Super U abou 5 mins away. Being in the center of the village there is not a lot of outdoor space, just a small terrace at the back and across a tiny lane there is a private courtyard with bbq which is very pleasant. For sun worshipers there is a great swimming lake with beach, waterslide, diving platform and children's playground only 10 mins drive away in the neighbouring town of Chaillac. We spent quite a bit of time there as the weather was fantastic.
The neighbours were lovely and always greeted us as they came and went about their business during the day.
Overall a lovely house in a lovely village.
Highly recommend it!
