A magical haven surrounded by beautiful Scottish countryside & wildlife

Perfect for all ages, this is a fantastic location for couples as well as groups of family and friends. Carsebuie is a comfortable stone built holiday cottage with open views over grazed farmland to the Galloway Hills. Watch the wildlife from your cottage window. Red squirrels, hares and deer as well as a multitude of birds frequent this secluded and large garden. An enclosed area is ideal for young children and pets can run and play safely. The Kids can unwind with table tennis and other activities in the games room across the courtyard. Nearby lochs and rivers provide salmon, trout or coarse fishing, and the Galloway Hills form nature's playground. Places to visit: stunning beaches on the Solway coast at Garlieston, Luce Bay, Monreith, Gatehouse; Galloway Forest Park with fabulous loch and mountain walks; historic castles and standing stones, Kirkudbright artists town, Wigtown book town and Castle Douglas food town.

Other villages/ towns with beaches or tourist attractions within 30 miles radius are, Portpatrick, Garlieston, Gatehouse, Glenluce, Monrieth, Whithorn, and Isle of Whithorn. Golf, fishing, cycling, climbing and walking are all within easy reach of your Galloway holiday cottage. 7 Stanes mountain bike range, Lochtrool, Glentrool, Clatteringshaws visitor centre, the Galloway Forest, Galloway Hills & the Southern Upland Way are minutes away. St Ninian's Cave, Cruggleton Castle, Kirroughtree visitor centre, Bladnoch distillery, & the Mull of Galloway lighthouse are well within one hour's drive, as are various botanical gardens.

Notes to the rental rates

  • SHORT BREAKS - minimum 3 nights. Low season GET 4 NIGHTS FOR THE PRICE OF THREE 3
    i.e. a midweek break of 4 nights costs the same as a 3 night weekend break.
    HIGH SEASON (school and public holiday periods) short breaks cannot be booked more than 6 weeks in advance.
    Weekend breaks min 3 nights start on a Friday — Midweek breaks min 4 nights start on a Monday.
    EXTRAS:
    Dogs accepted by arrangement only. A £20 fee applies per dog.
    Winter fuel supplement applies in Winter season, October through to end of March.
    A final clean can be booked before you leave, usual rate £25-£30.
    Beach towels can be hired at £1.50 per towel (details available on booking form).
  • UNDEROCCUPANCY
    A 10% DISCOUNT is available to SINGLES/COUPLES staying at Carsebuie.
    A 5% DISCOUNT is available for groups of 3-5. See terms and conditions at the time of booking.
    A 10% DISCOUNT is available to all return ESCAPE TO GALLOWAY GUESTS booking at least 6 weeks in advance of their chosen holiday date for low season dates, or before end of September the year preceeding the chosen holiday date for peak season. Previous visitors to Pavilion Cottage, Garlieston also qualify.
  • DEBIT/ CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED. We accept all major debit and credit cards but please note a 2.5% credit card handling fee is payable on all credit card transactions. Payment may also be made by online banking and by cheque.*
    Unless otherwise agreed, a 25% booking deposit or maximum £250 whichever is the lower is payable for holidays booked at least 6 months in advance.
    Holidays booked less than 6 months but more than 6 weeks in advance pay a 50% booking deposit.
    Holidays booked less than 6 weeks in advance - the full booking rate is payable.
    * Please allow up to 3 weeks for cheques to clear.
    All last minute bookings must be paid by debit or credit card.
    Final balance is due 6 weeks in advance of the booked holiday.
    A £200 refundable security deposit is taken at the time the final balance is due to safeguard against breakages additional cleaning and damage. A final clean may be booked during your stay usual rate £25. See terms and conditions at time of booking.
