Self catering apartment in the beautiful village of La Clusaz. All year round holidays in a supreme mountain setting. The two bedroomed apartment will sleep 4 or 5 people in comfort. As it is situated in the centre of the village, all amenities and most activities are a short walk away. The apartment is fully equipped and has a great balcony looking over the village.

Situated only one hour from Geneva and Chambery airports, La Clusaz is one of the fine resorts in the Aravis Ski Area. Known as a gem amongst French holiday makers, it is not well known among other nationalities. Local places of interest are the old town and lake of Annecy, the medieval village of Yvoire, Geneva and the ancient town of Conflans. There are waterfalls, gorges and any number of fantastic natural sights.

Notes: Unhappily, we are unable to take elderly, infirm or people who require a wheelchair, as the apartment is situated on the 3rd floor. No lift is available. Smoking is allowed on the balcony only. The village communal swimming pool is situated a five minute walk from the apartment. It has both indoor and outdoor areas. If you would like Sunday changeovers in January, please contact us.

The Skiing: Known as one of the finest resorts in France, La Clusaz has 140km of piste for all levels and acres of wonderful off piste for the powder hounds. Get up early after a snowfall and head for La Balme. You will be skiing with some of France's best powder skiers. For a small additional sum, the area of Le Grand Bornand is included. Accessed by a 10 minute bus ride, this area is wonderful for the confidence of improving intermediates. Good skiers will also find some fine challenges. There are plenty of trails for the cross country skier, about 60 kms in La Clusaz, and a little less over in Le Grand Bornand.

Summer activities and Golf: In July and August, La Clusaz is the home of mountain bikes and walkers. There are many specially prepared trails, some of which have been used in World Cup Competition. Hundreds of walking routes are also well marked. There are about 40 other sports available in and around the village, from archery to white water rafting. Surprisingly perhaps, La Clusaz is at the centre of a fine area for golf, with 9 high quality courses within easy reach. These courses have been designed by internationally renowned architects. We can arrange Golf holidays for up to 8 people. Please enquire if you are interested.

Relaxation: Spring and Autumn are the periods, when the village winds down and calm prevails. A fine time to chill out, walk, travel around sightseeing, and sitting on your balcony with a glass of wine and a good book.

Other Activities: All the water sports above are available on Lake Annecy (35 min).

Lovely Apartment!

A group of us stayed in La Clusaz towards the end of January and we had a brilliant time. The aparmtent is located on the main street of La Clusaz and a short distance from the slopes. There is a shop and restaurants next door. We found the apartment to be very homely and well kitted out. We will definately be returning!!
