Casa San Girolamo is a self-catering bright and sunshine-lit apartment placed in the Cannaregio area, very quiet and with canal view. Close to the Ghetto between the train station and Rialto, near amenities, markets, main services (next vaporetto stop: 300m) and many good restaurants and typical Venice pubs. Elegant furnishing, comfort-wise and fully equipped: whirlpool bathtub, TV sat, PC with free fast internet connection adsl, beds electrically adjustable in one bedroom. Spacious and ideal for families or two couple of friends: has 1 double/twin single beds bedroom, 1 double bedroom (set aside from the other one for added mutual privacy) with an ensuite bathroom with shower, a second bathroom with Jacuzzi whirlpool. A fifth bed is place in the study/single room.

Around the house: THE RIALTO BRIDGE: terminated in the XVI century, this stone bridge built on wooden piles replaced a former wooden bridge, which had in turn replaced one made of boats. For a time, this was the only bridge over the Grand Canal. The small and quaint shops at the side on the top of the Bridge afford an added touch of colour. CA' D'ORO: this unique and remarkable building typical of fifteenth-century Venetian Gothic architecture. The Palace hosts the not-to-be-missed Franchetti art gallery with a rich exhibit of works of art. THE JEWISH GHETTO: The first Ghetto as such in the world was set up here by the Venetian Republic in 1516. Still visible are several Synagogues and the extremely rich Jewish Museum. The Campo (large square) is also noteworthy for the surrounding buildings, which are the tallest in the city. THE CASINO': the pleasure of games and special events.
