Rousdon sits on the very borders of Dorset and Devon, on the Jurassic Coast, England's only World Heritage Site. The countryside starts to get more crumpled and rolling, the roads become arched with trees, and life becomes much calmer.
Within a five mile radius there are hundreds of fantastic clifftop and country walks, cream teas galore, and a huge variety of attractions and experiences - from diggerworld to nettle eating competitions, caves to the donkey sanctuary, with fosilling at Charmouth, River Cottage at Musbury, Saturday market at Bridport, breakfast on the beach at Beer, and classic English seaside at Lyme Regis, also good for a drink and meal in the evening. There is the nightlife of Seaton and Exeter 30 mins further, beyond which lie Dartmoor's rough heath and tors. The deeply atmospheric' undercliff' coastal path runs below the Estate, the result of a vast cliff landslide, it is unique for England, and a cliff path leads down to the private sandy beach below.
