This 4 bedroom gated villa is nestled in the 11th century village of Fornalutx, voted the best preserved village in Spain. The villa is very private yet only a 3 min easy stroll from the bustling village plaza and a quick 10 min drive to Soller and Puerto Soller. It has been lovingly converted from a historic olive mill. The antique ceramic tiles accent the remodeled bathroom and kitchen, the open wood burning fireplace in the salon, the two outdoor showers, mosaic tile pool, bocce ball court, and orange grove makes the villa simultaneously very romantic and great for entertaining. Once you enter the front gate, you're welcomed by cascading bougainvilleas, climbing roses, lavender, and the soothing flow of the creek. This villa is used by us as a family, so you will see tasteful personal touches throughout. This village is ideal for families and adults (the plaza is great for all ages) and for avid hikers (you are steps away from numerous amazing hikes). There are 5 parking spot.

Nearest Beach: beach at 12.0 Kilometres
Fornalutx is located only 10 minutes from Soller and the great beach town of Puerto Soller. Fornalutx is well known for its serene beauty and active town center. As you walk along the cobblestone streets, you pass the carefully tended stone homes, all of which contribute to the beauty of the village. The plaza is the center of this ancient Moorish town with a quaint, fully equipped convenient store, a bank, post office, natural and traditional pharmacy, bakery, and several wonderful restaurants and cafes, and a magnificent church. Its great for kids and adults! The cafes at the plaza are open from the early morning until 1 or 2 or 3 at night (depending on how much fun you are having - the owners tend to stay open as long as you are ordering). Fornalutx is 5 minutes from the big road which will take you anywhere in Mallorca. Its also a great town if you like to hike. There are numerous kikes you can start on straight from the hike.

  • BECAUSE THIS WEBSITE DOESN'T ALLOW US TO WRITE IN THE SAME DATE FOR CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT, THE DATES ABOVE MAY BE OFF BY A DAY. CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT IS ON SATURDAYS. THIS IS FLEXIBLE BUT STRONGLY PREFERRED.
    Rentals for more than one month during winter and early spring receive 15% off.
    50% deposit required at booking; balance charged one month before occupancy.
    Cancellations made within 3 weeks of occupancy will not be refunded.
    Cancellations made within 3-5 weeks of occupancy, 20% charge of full price.
    Arrival date is Saturday at 4pm and checkout day is Saturday at 10am -- this is preferable, but also flexible if required. Dates listed above are slightly skewed due to limitations in the software - please note that all dates should be Saturday to Saturday rental.

Notes: The home has 4 bedrooms, 3 newly remodeled/updated baths and a newly remodeled/updated kitchen. The eat-in kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave, gas and electric stove and oven, and of course, a refrigerator. The living/dining room serve as the center of the home and has an open fireplace, elevated ceiling and opens onto the terrace, pool and garden. The view from the living room and terrace is vast with roof tops, bougainvilleas, majestic mountains and the magnificent valley below. GARDEN The pool is flanked by climbing roses, bougainvilleas, hibiscus plants and the orange grove. Sitting by the pool is one of the world’s greatest treats, with the gentle flow of the creek; the distant sound of the goats’ bells as they climb the hills; the lingering scent of jasmine and orange blossoms; and spectacular view. Just beyond the pool and orange grove is the petanc court (bocce ball). We’ve had some great tournaments there!
