Alghero holiday villa

We were desparate for a holiday in the sun and Sardinia proved to be a great destination. Alghero is a beautiful, historic Catalonian influenced town,full of atmosphere especially in the evenings. The local beaches are stunning and about 10 minutes drive away from the villa. The sea is exceptional and probably the best we've come across, especially if you enjoy snorkelling or diving. The villa is about 2km from this lovely town and is located peacefully in the local countryside, where tranquility is only upset by the occasional braying of a local donkey. Set in substantial and well kept gardens amidst palm trees, the villa has every amenity and is ideal for families. The air conditioning was very welcome, as the weather outside can be baking hot and made the evenings very bearable. The villa was clean, had two modern bathrooms, dishwasher and a washing machine. You could tell that it had been recently decorated. It had everything a family could need from sattellite TVs and DVDs right down to the Connect Four, which my two children continually trounced me at. The agent was very helpful. In summary Alghero a great holiday destination and Viila Dei Sogni a welcome relaxing retreat.
