Haus Mirabelle overlooks the Goisertal valley and the surrounding wild meadows. The total living area is 175m² and is very spacious, light and airy. The property can comfortably sleep six adults. At a push, the property could sleep 6 adults and 2 children. The chalet has been recently revamped (August 2007), bringing the property up to date with modern amenities. Haus Mirabelle is a detached house with garage and entrance on the ground floor and the living area upstairs all on one level. The bedrooms and the living room have far-reaching views of the countryside. There is a garden with a terrace where you can enjoy BBQ, outside sauna & own meadow. Haus Mirabelle is a tranquil chalet set high on a mountain in the Austrian village of Bad Goisern. Bad Goisern is part of the Salzkammergut resort area, surrounded by lakes such as the Hallstätter and Wolfgang See and the Dachstein mountains. The village of Bad Goisern is located in a valley which is c.10 minutes drive from the next town of Bad Ischl. A 2 minute drive down the mountain from the property, you will reach the facilities which Bad Goisern has to offer: cafes, supermarkets, a couple restaurants, ski shops, Churches and a water slide park in the summer. BG is a few minutes drive from the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bad Ischl & Halstatt. Bad Goisern is approximately one hour drive from Salzburg airport and 2 hours drive from Munich & 3.5 hrs from Vienna. The ski resort of Gosau and Dachstein West are c. 18km away & can be reached by ski bus.You can enjoy hiking, winter walking mountain biking, alpine & cross country skiing, swimming in the lakes, paragliding.

  • Rental basis: PER PROPERTY. Deposit:200 euros, this will be reimbursed to you on departure assuming that there are no damages to the property or contents. Payment Terms: 35% fee is payable on booking. The full remaining amount is to be paid BEFORE arrival. Prices exclude local tourist taxes. Additional Costs (Excluded from above prices) End cleaning of the apartment: € 70. Electricity is payable at the end of the stay and calculated as consumed. Payment can be made by bank transfer / cheque / bank payment IN EUROS. A full inventory list will be found in the house on arrival and this will be check by local management on departure. All linen and towels are provided. A cleaning lady will visit once during your stay (mid-stay). This service is included in the rental charge . Any EXTRA cleaning / bed linen is not included in price.
  • Haus Mirabelle is intended for a maximum of 6-8 guests. Any additional guests must be discussed by prior arrangement and agreed in writing with the owner. The house can be rented for a maximum of 6-8 guests, ideally, 6 adults and 2 children. Minimum rental period: 3 nights. No smoking and no pets. Local management on location to deal with any of your requests / questions. Car rental is highly advised to access this property - though can be accessed by public transport (though you need to be fit to climb the hill.

  • The house has been recently refurbished in August 2007 and all bedrooms have been furnished in a clean, modern style. Number of bedrooms: 3. 1 x master bedroom with king size bed and a sofa bed (can sleep 2 children or 1 adult), 1 x twin bedroom with 2 single beds, 1 x bedroom with queen size bed. In the Master bedroom there is a large double bed, a sofa bed and a cot. All beds and bedding is clean and new. The beds have feather bedding and pillows and additional blankets. Anti-allergen pillows are available on request. All bedrooms have large windows with views of the surrounding meadows and mountains and are exceptionally quiet. Bedrooms have wooden-style flooring, large windows and contemporary decoration. The second bedroom has a small flat screen TV and the Master bedroom has a radio alarm. All rooms have a wardrobe and hanging space.

1 x large living room with dining area and easy chairs for relaxation. The living room has a flat screen TV, DVD and large picture windows with a stunning view of mountains. The living room leads out to terrace, garden and meadow. There is a large dining table which can be used for more formal dinners. In the kitchen - all the usual things you would expect, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, food blender…cutlery and crockery. The kitchen is extremely spacious and has a large seating area which can accommodate 8 people for breakfast / lunch. The sauna is outside and accessible via the living room door to the garden. Perfect after a bracing hike or day on the slopes. There is an indoor garage for the winter and an outside parking space as well. Skis should be stored in the garage, which can be reached through the entrance. Grocery pack available. Children are more than welcome at Haus Mirabelle.

Summer activities

You can enjoy a variety of activities from hiking in the mountains, the annual mountain biking rally in July and the music and café culture of Bad Ischl and Salzburg. Most people value the peace and tremendous natural beauty of the countryside and the opportunity to get fit/relax in these surroundings. There are cable car trips to be taken, the famous Café Zauner of Bad Ischl – the confectioner to the Kaiser and spas to be enjoyed. Bad Ischl was the Summer residence of the Kaiser Franz Joseph and where he took his young Empress to woo her - such is the natural beauty and romance of the region. This famous spa town boasts a good theatre, museums, concert halls, restaurants and café. In Austrian and German culture, the surrounding lakes of Wolfgang See occupy a special place in literature and music and are short drive away by car offering water sports and bathing. If you want to up the ante, Salzburg is only 1 hour away and in July hosts the famous 'Salzburger Festspiele' - the opera.

Winter activities

This area is transformed into a wonderland during the Winter season with over 8 meters of snow in 2006! Skiers will not be disappointed by the resorts of Gosau and Dachstein West, which are accessible by ski bus from Bad Goisern. For those who love the challenge of cross-country skiing, there is also a trail in Bad Goisern, taking you through some stunning countryside. If you fancy a day off skiing, there is Winter walking in the mountains where you can stop off for a hearty lunch at one of the mountain refuges or even take the toboggan downhill home! Christmas and New Year are particularly special in Austria, with Christmas markets with traditional food (and cakes!) and the sense of Austrian cosiness, 'Gemütlichkeit'. The main skiing area is in Gosau, Dachstein West. This is c. 5 miles / 8 km by car. The area between Gosau, Russbach and Annaberg is a family ski area. It has a network of 45 lifts and cable cars as well as 140 kilometres of pistes passing.

These resorts are family orientated with family friendly pricing. For example at, the Dachstein West resort, there is an Easter Special, “At Easter all children up to 15 ski for free in the ski resort Dachstein West, if at least one parent or grandparent purchases a ski pass with the same period of validity as the children's ski pass'.

Golf Information:

There is a 18 hole golf course in Bad Ischl which is 9 km drive away (10 minutes by car).
