Located in a quiet street our spacious two bedroom terraced house is situated minutes from the local restaurants and supermarkets. The beautiful endless beach is a 10 minute walk. Positioned at the top of a hill there are spectacular views of the sea. A white marble staircase leads to one double and one twin bedroom, a sofa bed can accommodate 2 more people in comfort. There is a good size living space, a bathroom and also a downstairs a toilet. The kitchen is fully equipped. ECO friendly heating panels and large ceiling fans provided for your comfort. Relax on the patio and enjoy a nice meal or drink whilst also taking in the views of the sea. Also an outside shower to cool off. The community pool is close by. Regular bus service and 'ROAD TRAIN'. Airport is a 10 minute drive away but not on a flight path. Licensed taxis are readily available at the airport or our friendly agent can meet and greet,...you choose. SHOPPING SERVICE available. Order all your groceries before you go

The immediate area has lots of great places to eat with the very ornate Chinese restaurants particularly good value for money. There is a weekly market a minute up the road where you can buy food as well as souvenirs. The local tapas bars will give you a real taste of the Spanish way of life while the local shops can cater for all your needs. The holiday makers enjoy gathering in the local square during the evenings where there is always a friendly atmosphere and also an internet cafe. The endless beach is a 10 minute walk away and adjacent to the beach is a nature reserve edged with pine trees. It is an ideal location for runners, cyclist and swimmers alike it's wonderful to run or cycle along the coast road. Santa Pola is well worth a visit and it's here you will see the local fishermen with their catches of the day. There are good links to the surrounding areas including santa pola and alicante city. Alicante airport itself is a 10 minute drive away.

  • A non-refundable deposit of £50 per week is required at the time of booking. The full balance is due six weeks before the start of the holiday. A security cheque of £100 is required to cover accidental damage and breakages. This will be returned once the property has been inspected and subject to the house being left tidy and as it was found
  • The only extra charges are €50 for cleaning which is to be paid locally to our agent.

    NB: an extra 5 euros will be added to the cleaning charges if the sofa bed is used to cover the cost of extra laundry and cleaning

Notes: There are approx 6 steps to access the property and marble stairs leading up to the bedrooms. The patio and living area including the kitchen and cloakroom are all on the level. Use of barbecue on request. We would prefer it if you do not smoke in the house but do not have a problem if you smoke on the patio. We have a large selection of videos, cds, dvds, games and books (English) for your use should you wish to spend an evening in doors. Eco friendly ceiling fans and heating panels provided for your comfort. An extra portable gas fire also available. You choose how green you wish to be. A stair gate and push chair can be made available on request. One male and one female bicycle available for hire....please ask for more details.

COSTA BLANCA (OR WHITE COAST): The beaches are famous throughout Europe, and largely unspoilt, stretching for miles. The soft white sands and crystal clear waters have been awarded the Blue Flag Award by the EEC. There are also salt lakes close to Torrevieja (about 30 minutes drive from Gran Alacant) which are home to a host of wild life including pink flamingos. The City of Alicante itself is very vibrant and ideal for all your shopping needs. 45 minutes drive north brings you to Benidorm. Here you can spend a day visiting the marine and exotic animal park or cool off at Aqualandia (the water park). Or if you wish you can spend your time visiting the many bars and shops! Why not visit the lovely traffic free Island of Tabarca easily accessible...a 30 minute ferry ride away. There are many golf courses along the Costa Blanca. One in Villamartin is about 45 minutes away from and considered to be one of the best in Spain. Others are much closer with Club de Golf El Plantio being just 5 kilometers away.

FIESTAS: There are many Fiesta days celebrated locally. The Fiesta celebrating Kings Day on the eve of January 5th. is well worth a visit in Santa Pola or Alicante. This celebration is especially for the children and the streets are lined with families as the 3 King's slowly pass by throwing out sweets as they go. The atmosphere is truly amazing, not to be missed.

RECCOMMENDATIONS: We recommend all clients booking with us to take out a comprehensive Travel Insurance to cover cancellation charges and for medical cover. However the local pharmacy is very good and able to help with lots of things. There is also a doctors surgery close by should you need it. Don't forget your E111 cards. we have just returned from this fantastic holiday, (hubby and kids 9 and 11), and had a brilliant time. the accomodation was perfect and very clean on our arrival. lots of details given by the owners and john, who picked us up from the airport. The kids had such a great time, in the swimming pool, lots of things to entertain the children both at villa and in surrounding area, i think they spent most of the time in the water at one beach or another, no two days were the same, the shops around the property were well stocked, and very friendly staff, and the neighbours were a great hit with the children, including Carmilla the dog, who my daughter wanted to bring home with her, they even made us a spanish omelette for our last meal, on the last day to save us cooking which was wonderful. i would certainly recommend and already have done, to my friends and family. The only thing i would recommend if you have young children, try to take some dvds, for them to watch early in morning or at night, as the owners supply lots of videos or dvds, but none really for my childrens age group or younger.......was certainly the best holiday we have had in a long time, and looking forward to next one, from beginning the booking to being dropped of at the airport, the owners and john in alicante itself, couldnt have been more helpful

I stayed a week with family at the above address for what I thought would be a nice, cheap, relaxing holiday away!! This is what I got. The apartment was lovely, clean and homely. The only let down for me was the size of the single beds (im 6'2 inches) and the beds are small. Other than this I was very comfortable.

I really enjoyed walking to the beach which isn't very far away at all. 10 minutes walk which is just the exercise I needed to keep me fit without going to a gym.

The resturants were very close and very nice. Two in perticular were great value for money. A local stake house and chinese. Eat as much as you like for 10 Euros. The food was cooked to perfection.

Alicante was very near by for shopping and had some nice stores to look at and is a nice day out.

The beach is lovely and the water is great for swimming in. Its ideal for walks. Also, there are graet masseurs if you'd like an all over massage.

I would definately consider going back for a holiday there again if I wanted to just get away and relax in the sun.

The property is close to shops, restaurants and local market. The beach is just down the hill, it's steep but a bus or the tourist train will get you there. The house was very clean and really well equipped, if you are cooking in then you should find all the utensils you require. Gran Alacant is a good base if you are wanting to drive around the Costa Blanca, the motorway being close by although personally i like to come across villages as I get lost on the small roads.
I have to thank Linda and Gordon for the for the excellent communications before and after the holiday, will certainly keep Blue Sky House on my list of places to stay.

This holiday home is ideal for couples, the house is very clean and comfortable, perhaps could be improved by adding another seat or sofa to sit on, if you are not very mobile it could be a problem, the beach is quite a way away down a hill known locally as Cardiac Hill but it can be overcome because there is a bus service that will take you there for 1euro 20. which runs every hour and the bus stop is approx 150 yrds away. There isn't much for children to do but there is a very good communal pool. The restaurants are within walking distance and we enjoyed each one we visited.We would certainly recommend this holiday to our friends for a relaxing break.
Recommended for:  Age 55+

As well as the local bus there is also (new this year) a road "train" which tours Gran Alacant picking up and putting down at various restaurants and shopping areas and also the beach area.
