Stunning loft apartment with in beautiful lake side villa, the apartment is newly re-furbished in a contemporary modern style with 3 spacious bedrooms , 1 en-suite 1 family bathroom with free standing Victorian style bath ,original wash basin and toilet and 1 separate toilet. Huge open plan lounge /diner with leather sofa and easy chairs, also a low level setting area with TV and dvd (ideal for kids and teenagers).Modern kitchen with slate work tops and all mod cons ,dish washer, microwave , fan oven halogen hob. Outside seating is provided on the sunny Terrance with stunning views of the mountains, lake and surrounds. The property has a large garden with off road parking BBQ and seating area and comfortable sun loungers. The lake is just across the road and easily accessible for swimming. Cycle track to Annecy centre and other villages and beaches 300 metres from the property. Local shops and amenities and port with watersports 5 min away .

Villa -Anne -Marie is located in Bout du Lac(end of the lake) 20km from the town centre of Annecy with all its interesting shops medieval streets and bustling markets. Often called the Venice of the alps as the waterways meander through many of the old streets. There are lots of places of interest , like the old chateau, museums and galleries. The town is very close to the lake and surrounded by lovely green parks, swimming areas and places to hire all kinds of boats, take a lovely tour on one of the trips or simply relax and take in the stunning views. Bout de lac has a lovely port, tennis courts, cycle hire and lots more, an ideal base to explore the beautiful surrounds within easy reach of all local amentities and with lots going on in the small villages around, summer markets, concerts and village fetes just a few of them. The lake has lovely swimming and sun bathing areas with life guard facilites. There are also several restaurants and cafes close by.

Excellent apartment close to the lake shore

We enjoyed a fabulous week at this apartment. Many happy meals were prepared in the superbly equipped kitchen and eaten on the balcony complete with stunning views over the mountains. From here you can admire the skills and courage of the colourful "parapenters" who throw themselves off the nearby cliffs and glide down to Doussard (whilst clutching your chilled glass of Savoie Blanc). The proximity to the busy road does make the early mornings a little noisy but that is the only slight downside to a beautifully renovated property. It's a two minute walk away from the beach where you can take a boat trip to/from beautiful Annecy - recommended (if a little pricey). Alternatively you can hire bikes to cycle the 9 miles or so to the head of the lake if you feel more energetic. Being less than athletic, we contented ourselves with a 30-minute stroll to the nearby village of Doussard where there was a well-stocked small supermarket, excellent boulangerie and boucherie. We all loved our stay here, the apartment has been tastefully renovated and has some lovely features. The beach is a very short walk away and our children loved it, visiting every day. We were able to arrange a mooring for our boat at the port there (with help from the owners) and this made for easy waterskiing which was the prime reason for our trip. We also hired bikes just 5 mins walk away and cycled into Annecy which was great fun and not too far. Our only issue would be the proximity to the very busy road, but this is really unavoidable if you want to be close to the lake and the garden is beautiful with lots of large shrubs that shield the noise. Also it can get very hot since the apartment is on the top floor but we coped ok despite very hot weather. The owners were really helpful and we would strongly recommend a stay here.
