Pierfantini is a rustic villa located in the Chianti just a few kilometres away from the medieval village San Gusme. The completely private villa in its nestled hillside position provides a refreshing retreat from the hot Tuscan days that cover the valley below. In the expansive natural grounds that surround the villa there is a large swimming pool that has Roman steps and a hydro massage in one corner. Next to the pool there is a solarium with sun chairs and umbrellas. From the pool there is a fantastic view over the treetops of the valley below. To one side of the pool, surrounded by a stone wall, there is an umbrella shaded table with chairs for outside dining. Pierfantini is a well-restored farmhouse that is divided into two areas, the main part of the house has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms while the studio has a bedroom and bathroom. There is a protected courtyard with a pizza oven.

  • Off the dining room there are two double bedrooms. The bedrooms are furnished with typical Tuscan beds and dressers. Each room has a window overlooking the fields surrounding the villa. Across the small hall from one of the rooms there is a bathroom with tub. The studio has an independent access up a flight of stone stairs. It provides wonderful privacy for its occupants and has a fantastic view over the rooftops of the villa. Inside the studio there is a double bed, sitting area, a little kitchen and a small simple bathroom with shower.

Great house in a beautiful landscape! Compliments!

Me and some friends visited Tuscany this year and lived in this house for a week. It was a great time! The house is a really nice one, which is fully equiped. Very clean and well-maintained! Enough place for more cars! Enough place for kids to play. A wonderful big pool, lighted by night. Looks great! A highlight for children and addults! Beautiful landscape, with many vineyards. The house is secluded, so you have time for your own, no peeving neighbours. Also great for older people, who just want to relax! For younger ones: you can be as loud as you want. San Gusmé, nice little town, just two minutes away. you can eat there very good! Just 20 min to Siena, to go shopping and sightseeing.
The owner, are really really nice and friendly!!! great persons! You won't have any problems with them!
It was a wonderful an great holiday! A great time! We recommend to go there to everyone! We really suggest to book the house, you surely won't regret! I hope to get the house again next year, and if it's possible to stay there for more then one week: there is enough to dicover in the surrounding area!

Tuscan Villa

The house was very clean, well maintaned and located in a quiet place. the swimming pool was wonderful and clean. the owner of the house was very nice and helpful. I t would have been nice if I spoke italian so we could have talked a bit. Maybe next time I will be more prepared. The only thing I did not like was the fact that one has to drive to go anywhere. The closest town was about 5 minutes drive with a great grocery store and resturants.
The kitchen was well stocked, enough clean linens. This is a great place to stay if one likes hiking, does not mind driving a lot. The food was wonderful: mortadella, pesto in the grocery stores were heavenly.
While in Sienna I forgot my camera in the resturant. The owner came to clean the swimming pool and I got to chat with him. In the process I explained to him about my camera. He called his daughter who spoke better English and she was able to understand my dilema(Sienna was about half hour drive). Between the father and daughter they were able to bring the camera to the house. Needless to say I was very thankful and appreciative. Italian Hospitality is priceless!!!!!!!!
