La Tzoumaz is a little known resort that has been kept secret by the Swiss as the English flock to Verbier. La Tzoumaz lies at a lofty 1500M and benefits from excellent snow records with a season often extending into late April and the last snows. Below the village lie many of the regions good vineyards which make a great tasting break in the summer months. In the summer of 07 the main lift (300M from chalets) was upgraded and now provides rapid access to the peak immediately above Verbier, making the centre of Verbier accessible within 30 mins by ski from the chalets. La Tzoumaz village itself is best suited to family holidays and provides a number of good restaurants and bars. A large swimming pool, ice rink, snow play area and ski nursery are also available in the village. In summer the village hosts a number of mountain biking events and is well suited for walkers or those just seeking to take time out.

Summer Mountain Biking- La Tzoumaz/Verbier: 4 Vallees Chalets are offering a fantastic range of opportunities for you to enjoy summer in the Alps. The chalets are available to rent all summer and are perfectly set amounst numerous footpaths, excellent mountain bike tracks (VTT - Vélo Toute Terrain) and nature trails. Near by are some renound golf courses and even glacier skiing! The brand new Télécabine operates July through August and carries bikes for free. During July and August we have put together a fantastic programme for mountain biking, offering maximum flexibility suitable for all abilities.

Summer Pakages Available: Package 1: All inclusive (£499 per week) The all inclusive package offers great value for a week’s mountain biking, and includes: Accommodation in a luxury chalet situated in the heart of La Tzoumaz 6 days bike hire 3 days mountain bike guiding, including lunch Breakfast and dinner with wine During your week, there are plenty of other activities available near by including skiing, paragliding, wine tasting, thermal baths This package is suitable for a range of abilities but does require a reasonable level of fitness and mountain biking skills. We rented Chalet Daim and Chalet Coucou for a week in March, and are just about to book again for next season!

There were 21 in our group staying in both chalets, we opted for the serviced and 'part catered' option which worked great for us - a few relaxing evenings in with the cooking done for us and a few evenings out in the local restaurants. Our chalet hosts were totally flexible with which evenings they cooked for us, and when they did, the food cooked was good quality - and plenty of it!

The chalets themselves are fabulous, well equipped, loads of space, great views, good access to the main lift and village centre. We have stayed in many chalets over the years - and these are by far the most luxurious in our price range.

The skiing in La Tzoumaz was also good, helped by fresh snow, no cues and easy access to Verbier - although the skiing in La Tzoumaz itself was so good we spent most of the week there.

We would certainly recommend the chalets and the resort, and look forward to our trip next year.

We visited Chalet Daim last ski season with family. Travelling by car from Geneva the route was very straight forward and the Chalet managers on hand once we arrived, even though we arrived fairly late.
The location was fantastic on the way out for a days skiing, a little bit of a stretch on the way home, especially for children carrying skis. We found it easier to take a car down to transport the skis.
The chalet was exactly as described, very clean and everything in good shape, (its worth mentioning this was the first season). Having 3 children in the party the stairs were a little tricky for the youngest but the room layout was fantastic and worked very well for us.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying in La Tzoumaz and are returning this year.
Would very much recommend the chalet for all groups of people.

Pizzeria in town was brilliant for our group of 10, very accomodating even if a little chaotic!

Skiing was excellent! Some excellent off piste tracks, but suggest a guide.
