Cabanas:
Cabanas de Tavira is an ideal base for exploring the Algarve with regular train and bus services running along the coast. The surrounding area offers numerous opportunities for visiting sites of historical interest such as Estoi (palace), Milreu (Roman ruins) and Castro Marim (Nature Reserve). The lovely old Town of Tavira, also known as ‘the little Venice of Portugal’ is 4km and Spain is just 20 mins away. Ideal for couples and young families.
Cabanas offers a number of supermarkets, local butchers, bakers and greengrocers. There is a daily market of fresh produce and 2 fishmongers selling fresh fish. There are ATM machines and internet cafe. There is a wide variety of cafes, bars and restaurants. The nearest café is 100m. It is also possible to learn to wind surf or kite surf at Cabanas.
Tavira:
Tavira, the nearest town known as 'the Little Venice of Portugal' is 4km by car is a historical town with its Moorish castle, riverside shops and restaurants. Further east you are within 20 minutes from the Spanish border and Ayamonte. Bus stop 200m. Train station 1km in Conceicao local bus stops there. Easy access by train to the Spanish border, Faro, Lisbon and beyond.
Excursions are available with local departures to all of the Algarve's main attractions including Water park and Zoo marine.

Cabanas da Tavira is located a 30 min drive from Faro Airport. There are regular bus and train services to Cabanas from Faro. Car hire is offered from various providers at the airport. Seville airport is 90 mins drive. We can arrange airport to apartment transfers. Please enquire for details.
Golf:
Benamor golf course is 1Km away, Quintas da Ria and Cima 4 Km and Castro Marim 15km. Benamor is set in groves of trees on the lower slopes of the hills with striking mountain and sea views. The course offers a gentle, peaceful and fairly undemanding round. Par: 71 Length: 6017 yards. Quinta da Ria offers spectacular views of the mountains and coast. Built on flattish terrain with greens that are slightly undulating and well guarded by bunkers and man-made lakes. Par: 72 Length: 6700 yards. Quinta da Cima is situated across the road from Quinta da Ria.It is longer & tougher than its neighbour. Par: 72 Length: 6950 yards. Castro Marim is set in rolling terrain against a hilly backdrop. There are impressive views of the nearby River Guadiana and the Atlantic Ocean. Accurate play and astute club selection is essential. Par: 72 Length: 6010 yards.
