A stay in this beautiful holiday villa offers you the best of both worlds. Just 3km from the picturesque, historic white village of Competa, yet only 20 minutes drive to the coastal resorts of Torrox and Nerja, it's the ideal location for a holiday at any time of the year. With stunning sea views down the Torrox valley and across to the Almijara Siera National Park, the Villa is in a peaceful but not isolated location. Surrounded by grape vines, olive and fruit trees, there is a large sun terrace with 9M by 4M pool with outdoor shower. The villa has a large arched terrace situated at the front and a pergola overlooking the pool terrace, both offer the perfect place for al fresco dining or to simply take in the spectacular scenery. The villa has 3 large bedrooms equipped with wardrobes and ceiling fans, 2 bathrooms (1 en-suite). The luxurious kitchen is fully equipped, all main appliances are integrated with granite work tops and breakfast bar.

Just3km from the villa lies the historic, picturesque white village of Competa. Known as the jewel of the Axarquia it is steeped in history dating back to the Moors. Famous for its wine and honey. Competa has a superb variety of restaurants and tapas bars. Also a superb bakery, supermarkets and wonderful craft shops. 9km down the hill is Torrox Pueblo with its delightful square with orange trees and fountain and a further selection of restaurants. Torrox Costa with its great expanse of beaches and just 5 minutes drive takes you to the popular resort of Nerja. Granada is just 90 mins drive with its magnificent Alhambra Palace. In winter, just 2 hours drive upto the Sierra Nevadas and you can spend the day skiing. The villa overlooks the Sierra Almijara National Park providing excellent walks and great opportunities for horse riding and pony trekking for all abilities. The villa is also ideal for those who want a golfing holiday as the Costa Del Sol is second to none for choice.

  • Please note, a welcome pack can be provided if you wish and the cost is to be paid to our management team whilst you are staying at the villa. Usually depending on what you would like it would cost around Euros 10.

Notes: Casa Jevanda is situated on the border of the Sierra Almijara National Park, the villa is reached from the main Torrox to Competa road. It is set in approximately 4000 m2 and is surrounded by grape vines, olive and fruit trees. The pool is 9m x 4m and lit by underwater lighting, both the villa and pool areas have stunning views of the Sierra. The large terrace area expands from the pool area to the front of the villa, giving you lots of room to sunbathe, dine and the children to play. We have a large stone barbeque which is brilliant, all our clients love it and make good use of it. We also have a large wooden table with 6 chairs with a large umbrella to keep you cool. Under the arched terrace there is wicker furniture to seat 4 including two setter, two chairs all with cushions and a matching coffee table. PLEASE NOTE A WELCOME PACK IS NO LONGER INCLUDED IN THE PRICE, IF YOU WOULD LIKE PROVISIONS THEN THIS CAN BE ARRANGED FOR YOU AT EXTRA COST.

A professional maintenance company has been retained to provide the all important local support and advice. The famous old Moorish town of Competa is 3km away, it is still intrinsically Spanish in culture, bustling with local life. The area is perfect for touring, enjoying the beautiful beaches on the coast, walking through the national parks or eating out in all the local fabulous restaurants. Nerja is just 20 mins away, where the mountains meet the sea, much of the area has managed to retain its character nad charm.

Golf: Golfers can combine a golfing holiday with beach, mountains and the historic cities of Andalucia. The Costa Del Sol exceeds in the selection of courses available to beginners and professionals. The nearest course is 20 minutes from the Villa. Baviera Golf Club is an 18 hole 64100 yard par 71 course, with driving range. The course is laid out around gardens and lakes, with views towards both the Sierra and the Sea. Nearer to Malaga is the Anoreta Golf Club, another Canizares designed course. This 18 hole, 6538 yard, par 71 course sets a slightly more difficult challenge due to water hazards being featured on 11 of the 18 holes.

What a fantastic villa! perfect in every way! beautiful and stylish, we all had a brilliant holiday from start to finish and didn't want it to end. We really loved the pool, the relaxed surroundings and the stunning views, Competa was beautiful too!! (The Hardy's Sale M/Cr).
Superb Vila, it had everything and more we could have possibly wanted. The pool was great and we spent many an hour in it. The backdrop of the mountains provides a million dollar view. If you want to relax in luxury then this is the place for you. p.s. Jim and Pauline were excellent - they were friendly and helped us with local info - thanks so much !! we will come again, (Anthony and Jenny East Sussex)

brilliant holiday

we spent a week in october in the villa and it's just as beautiful as the photographs suggest. the pool and terrace were lovely - the kids were in the pool at all hours. fantastic to have olives almonds pomegranites and vines in the fields around the villa. competa just a few minutes drive away - nice town, small supermarket, fish shop, bread, cafes. nerja great town on the coast - good beachfront restaurants - aya and moreno.torrox not so nice. good trip to granada and alhambra - travel agent in competa booked tickets for the alhambra for us. magnificent drive to get there- along the coast road then up through the mountains. also the villages beyond competa are very pretty - sedella etc
house had everything we could possibly have needed. very comfortable and clean. easy journey from malaga airport. hypermarket en route. no complaints

Just the way it should be!

A lovely house with all the necessary equipment (although we mist a dishwasser). Nicely furnished and the rooms were big enough for us.
Especially we were pleased with the outside area. Great view, good and plenty of chairs etc. Not to forget the swimming pool.
This offered us a chance to relax with the three of us. Husband and wife and a 7 months old son. For our son there was a cot available which we used a lot, in- and outside.
My wife and I have been travelling around the world a lot. As a result we stayed in all sorts of houses, backbackers, resorts, campsites etc. The house is definitely in the top region of comfort and delivering what the “brochure” promised.

Luxury Villa in the Mountains

We had a wonderful week in this lovely villa in such a brilliant location, with mountain views, even of the coast some 15 kms or so distant!
The pool was brilliant, the areas around it, i.e shaded terraces for sitting and chilling amongst the 'real Spain' views
The villa was immaculate and very tastefully furnished, our only complaint is that the time went too quickly!
Competa is a perfect location for anyone who wants to experience the real Spain, it is in no way commercialised whilst at the same time being very lively with some really good restaurants.
There is some stunning scenery in the Sierra de Tejeda National park which is literally 5 minutes drive away from the villa on the way to Competa. There are some lovely peaceful villages tucked away in the Mountains (e.g Sedella) where you may be the only tourist wandering around it's peaceful streets and alleyways, stopping off at the cafe in the square for a coffee.
You are also only about an hour and a half from Granada with it's beautiful Alhambra.
We will certainly be returning here but next time for more days!

paradise in the mountains

Four of us have just spent a wonderful week at this villa, which is equiped to the highest standard with everything you could need. The views are amazing and it is so peaceful and quiet, in fact the only sound you will hear is the goats. The pool is great, and even in April we all took advantage of it every day. I would recommend this property to anybody who is looking for a relaxing 'chilled out' holiday. As long as you have a car there are great restaurants in Competa, and Nerja is only 20 mins away.
