This tastefully furnished four bedroom villa offers a wonderful holiday environment with the pretty medieval village of Calonge close by. Situated in a no-through road position on a select urbanisation just outside Calonge with panoramic views across sea and mountain landscape. The two main double bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and a further bathroom is situated between the two single bedded rooms. The villa is light and airy with full length patio doors to the lounge and dining area. Attractive well equipped open-plan kitchen with large centre dining table and seating for eight. Pretty well kept gardens surround the villa with own private pool and poolside shower. Pool heating available if required. Under cover crazy paved barbecue area with table and chairs for 'al fresco' dining and there is the luxury of an attractive SPA bath to enjoy at the end of your day. Girona airport with Ryan Air flights is only forty minutes drive away and Barcelona airport around 90 minutes drive.

The medieval village of Calonge is situated inland and is twinned with the coastal town of San Antonio with its excellent beach and rugged landscape. Beaches vary from long sandy bays to small sheltered coves, such as Calella de Palafrugell, Tamariu and Llafranc. Water sports, horse-riding and tennis can be enjoyed in the area and there are good golf courses all within driving distance. There are also excellent restaurants to be found locally offering a selection of fresh fish and meat dishes and a variety of good wines and sparkling cavas to accompany any meal. The larger towns of Palamos and Playa de Aro with their wonderful shopping facilities and night life are within ten minutes drive away. There are several supermarkets in the area with one local supermarket providing fresh bread baked daily, fresh meat and a delicatessen counter only 5 minutes drive away. There is also a weekly market in Calonge where you can buy all your fresh fruit and vegetables.

On a two-week stay, if you require a mid-holiday clean, this is optional and should be requested before your arrival at the property. Prices for a mid-holiday clean are available on request. Clean towels and sheets are provided after a week's stay. All usual facilities are at the villa to make your stay there relaxing and enjoyable. A representative is on hand to answer any queries and to check that your arrival and departure at the villa is trouble-free. TV is satellite free view only. There is a wireless internet connection at the villa which can be used for your convenience at a separate minimum charge of 30 euros per week. Girona is situated in North Eastern Spain, close to the border of France. The City of Girona is a very interesting and beautiful place with many historical sites and museums to visit. For those of you who enjoy art, the 'Dali' museum at Figueres should not be missed. Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia, is not far from Girona taking approximately one hour to reach by motorway. The medieval village of Calonge is situated inland and is twinned with the coastal town of San Antonio with its excellent beach and rugged landscape. Beaches vary from long sandy bays to small sheltered coves, such has Calella de Palafrugell, Tamariu and Llafranc. Water sports, horse-riding and tennis can all be enjoyed in the area and there are good golf courses all within driving distance. The Water Park along the coast which offers a great family day out is ten minutes away and Marineland popular with the younger children offers a water park with various dolphin and animal shows one hour away.

wonderful house. cannot fault it. Huge Jacuzzi in which we and our children sat and star gazed at midnight Great pool. Teenage boys delighted with internet access. Janet property manager is fab and was incredibly helpful as indeed was her whole family! Wonderful to have welcome food pack. Would go again tomorrow if we could!

Dreamful place to spend a unforgetable time

We were for one week there and i must say it was the best week i spend ever in Spain.
The house and location is much more beautiful and gorgeous as it seems on the pictures. From the garden there is a wonderful view over the mountains. Every is very clean land the service is like in a luxury hotel. A welcome present, a very kind and helpfull manager (Janet) and a very familiar atmosphere.

About the neighbourhood: it is very peacefull and calm. The house is on the top of a hill so that one have a great view. Shopping possibilities are enough so wonderful for families.

The house: Everything is very clean and luxury. The money we spend for it was 100% worth. There is also a familiar atmosphere when you come in. You find maps and tourist info about the enviroment. There are toys for the children. The kitchen is wonderful and huge. Pleasure to cook there. You fiind also a fridge only for the wine. The outside barbecue area is very practical and from the garden you have a really wonderful view.

To sum up, i would recommend this house to everyone. Everything was very trustfull and there's a lot of to experience at this place. Perfect for relaxing vacation in a harmonious atmosphere.

fantastic family holiday

We spent 2 weeks in Villa Zara with our 4 children, 2 of them adults, 2 teenagers. We had great weather, a fantastic view, privacy.
Janet who manages the Villa was exceptionally helpfull and kind.
You do need to hire a car, but the surrounding area is beautiful and there are lots of places to explore and the shopping is great.
The Vila was very clean, there was a large pool, and a Jacuzzi which was great fun.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this property and area to family and friends..in fact I didn't want to leave !
There is a water park and plenty of shopping 10 minutes by car and although we didn't eat out much, by choice, the supermarkets have plenty of everything.
Can't wait to go back !!

We (three families including grandparents) stayed one week in this beautiful Villa in May 2008. The house is great, and we really enjoyed our stay. The pool and the jacuzzi were the highlight for many of us, especially our 5-year old. Nearby there are many interesting, beautiful villages and beaches, and it's not too long to get to the beautiful city of Girona (also the nearest airport).

The arrangements were great, from booking the villa and finding our way there in the middle of the night. The weather wasn't so great during our week but we didn't mind. There's plenty of stuff to do even if it's raining! Really recommend this villa to anyone who appreciates a nice, relaxing holiday!
