Padova (Padua)

PADUA - The urban structure has remained almost the same over the centuries: narrow streets, arcades, monumental squares. Padua changed drastically in the 13th century: the foundation of the University, the construction of the Palazzo della Ragione and Saint Antonio’s Basilica, the first town walls. They have remained Padua’s symbols up to today. In the 14th century, Padua reached the height of its political and military power under the seignior of the Carrarese. It became the centre of humanistic and Renaissance culture and a point of reference for artists and men of letters. Prato della Valle, one of Europe’s largest and most famous squares, was built in the 18th century. The surroundings of Padua are famous for their artistic, archaeological, cultural and natural heritage:many villas and castles that embellish the area, churches and monasteries, walled towns of Monselice, Este, Montagnana e Citadella, watercourses and rural houses. This is a rich and fertile area full of tradition.

Venice and The Euganean Hills

All these events make Venice an international town that makes the whole world feel welcome. If you want to avoid big events and thousands of people, visit Venice in autumn. The atmosphere is quiet and walking through the “calle”, the famous narrow streets in Venice, you will hear only the sound of your steps and waves. - THE EUGANEAN HILLS: The National Park Colli Euganei is ten kilometres away from the Villa. The Park is remarkable for its nature, landscape, culture and art thanks to its particular location, volcanic origin, climate and human presence since remote ages. Excellent wines are produced in this area
