Carvoeiro holiday villa

We had a two week holiday at villa sentosa in early June 2009.  We were a party of 6 adults and two toddlers, so we wanted plenty of space and comfort both inside and outside; villa sentosa met our expectations wonderfully.  We spent most of the time outdoors and the garden, pool and terrace were private, well maintained and spacious.  The terrace, which is fenced off from the rest of the garden and the pool, was perfect with plenty of space to sit and eat.  The pool is big enough for adults to swim in and the shallow section at one end gave our 3 yr old granddaughter the confidence to progress from sitting on the steps to jumping in with arm bands; lovely to see!  We paid for the pool to be heated, which I'd recommend, even though the weather was good. It meant it got used from morning through to evening.The villa was clean; we were met when we arrived and the management company were very friendly and helpful while we were there.  Carvoeiro had everything we wanted; a small but low key beach for the little ones, excellent restaurants, great coastal walks, all the facilities you need and friendly people.On top of all that it's only about forty mintues from Faro airport.For a beach, pool and sun holiday, it was the perfect place; we had a smashing holiday and I'd certainly recommend it.

We are a family of 5, 3 of whom are under four so a priority for us was to find a safe yet comfortable villa. In total 7 people shared the villa 4 adults and 3 kids and we had a fantastic time, we stayed in Carvoeiro before in a fantastic villa although not as child friendly, we didn't think we would find a villa that could again exceed our expectations but Casa Sentosa did.
The area it is situated in is lovely and quiet and the villa has wonderful private gardens.
The villa has every item you will ever need for a villa holiday, the interior is much bigger than the pictures make it look and has been finished with a modern contemporary feel while remaining safe for kids once you put the nic naks out of reach.
The pool is great for kids and the garden a real plus. If I am being honest the walk into town took no longer than 12 minutes although the walk back is a tad hard and not something we tried with the buggies, but a Taxi was only 4 Euro.
Overall we were delighted with the villa, the management team met us when we arrived and were there for everything we needed, a real bonus when you arrive in an area that you don't know.
If you are thinking of trying out a villa and have a young family or even if you are seasoned Villa holidayers this villa is perfect.

We were really impressed with the spacious feeling in the villa, although it's classed as a townhouse it's the space you'd expect in a detached villa. The bedrooms are large and bright and good high ceilings. The single bedroom has a put up bed in it - so really is an ideal double room for youngsters. All very nice - everything you need for a family holiday. We were three couples and it worked well for us. Only about a 10 minute walk down into the town where there are plenty of restaurants and shops and a nice sandy beach - if you don't want to walk back the taxi was 4 euros! The pools is very lovely and the garden is very private and plenty of plants and trees. We went out every day sight seeing and came back and enjoyed the pool and garden and cooked on the outdoor barbeque at night.

The management company were very welcoming and were available if we needed them.

It's nice and centrally based if you want to go out to other places, very many nice towns and villages within half an hour drive.
