A fantastic hideaway in the Tuscan mountains.

This is the second time that we have visited The Mill with our family of 3 young boys, and I would not hesitate in recommending it to other families. The accomodation is spacious, clean and in a fantastic setting in a Tuscan village. There is plenty of outdoor space to play, including a table tennis table and a pool. There is also a river to scramble about in for those who like a bit of adventurous play!
Nearby there are plenty of things to see and do, we visited Florence by train, Lucca by car and the fascinating hilltop village of Barja. There are places to eat a short car ride away, and supermarkets locally.
What I liked best about this holiday was the peace and tranquility of the surroundings in the Tuscan chestnut forests, and a feeling that you were visiting the "real" Italy. It was lovely to be able to eat outdoors on the terrace and watch the sun going down. Also lovely to lie in the garden in the shade in the afternoon looking at the mountain views while the boys splashed about in the pool.
Can't wait to go again!
