This is the northernmost point of the Vaucluse region, bordered by Mont Ventoux, the highest peak in Provence and the Dentelles de Montmirail. This fertile land produces some of the great French wines, including Gigondas and the sweet Beaumes de Venise. Local produce can be found at the markets in Carpentras and Vaison la Romaine.
