Honeymoon in paradise

Just in the final hour of our honeymoon before we head to the airport. So sad to be leaving after a wonderful, idyllic week. Apartment was everything we hoped it would be - and more. Perfect romantic setting for a honeymoon - as secluded and private as you want it to be but within easy reach of nightlife when you want to head out. Weather has been fantastic; in fact sometimes too hot sitting by the pool because the garden is so sheltered. But beach is an easy 10 minute walk, and there you have breeze and all the amenities you need.
Getting around is very easy - jump on a bus to St Lawrence Gap for restaurants (1.50 Barbados dollars each) and cab back at night (25 Barbados dollars). Food, drink etc all very cheap if you are used to English prices! Taxi drivers all friendly and helpful - especially if you get a guy called Cookie (but be prepared for him to sing to you!).
Apartment is wonderfully clean and comfortable and has everything you need. Owners of the apartment, Peter and Nilsa (hope I have spelt that right) are fantastic. They live above and are so friendly, sociable and helpful - although not to the point where they are obtrusive or make you feel like you are being watched. They, as much as anything, have helped make this the perfect holiday.
We have no hesitation is recommending this apartment to anyone and would certainly come back here if/when we visit Barbados again.
