How close are you to the slopes?:
Snowberry is situated in the Benchlands which is just to the left of the Wizard chair if one is looking up Blackcomb Mountain. We are just above the Four Seasons, Club Inrawest and The Chateau Whistler and across from the Chateau Whistler Golf Course. The shuttle bus drops off outside Snowberry and picks up on the other side of Snowberry, about 1 minutes walk from the front door. A further 1 minute walk will take you to the beginning of the cat track from where you can ski down to the base of the Wizard lift (if sufficient snow).
For summer renters we are located just a few minutes walk from public tennis courts.
Is a car necessary?:
Once in Whistler, there is little need for a car and it can be great fun to be met by a limo and ride up to Whistler in style. You cannot park any closer to the slopes than our place. Also, the free shuttle bus drops you off about 30m from the door and picks you up about 100m from the back parking lot, so even if you are with children, there is not alot of walking to do. Except for early and late season, you can even ski down and home or walk down on the local trails year round. It takes about 10 minutes to walk without children. The buses feed the village shops and the Market Place where there is the big grocery store, video rental, etc. and there are always taxis for a weekly grocery shop.
Other alternatives for getting to Whistler are the airport coaches - these take about 3 hours from the airport to the village where taxis will take you the remaining short distance.
Saying this, we have 2 dedicated parking spaces should you decided to bring a car or are having guests.
