Superb relaxing family holiday

We have recently returned from a ten night stay at this apartment, which was an ideal location for ourselves and our two children, aged 9 and 6.
We were promptly met and shown around the complex and the apartment, which was spotlessly clean with all the facilities needed for a family holiday. The apartment was comfortable and relaxing with the added bonus of a washing machine! The children also appreciated the tv/dvd and wide range of films available.
The weather was fantastic, with a welcoming breeze in the afternoons and the long, beautiful beach was a short walk away,although the sea temperature was quite cool. The children made the most of the lovely, clean pool at the complex, which was large enough even on the busiest of days and there were always sunbeds available.
We travelled with friends who also stayed at Vila da Praia and in the evenings we would stroll the short walk into the centre of Alvor to make the most of the excellent restaurants on offer. As a table of seven, we were always accomodated and ate well wherever we went. The town is very pretty, with a wide range of shops available and the local supermarket had a good range of basics. There is also a good local bus and taxi service.
The holiday arrangements were easily organised and the owners of the apartment were friendly and easily accessible via email. I would happily recommend this apartment and location to friends and family and look forward to being able to return there in the future.

It's good to hear that you felt comfortable and relaxed in the apartment.The apartment is fully furnished and fully equipped to a good standard, making it a home from home. We would fully agree it is in an ideal location, close to the beach and only a five minute walk into the pretty village of Alvor. Public transport is reliable and relatively cheap. The taxi rank in the village is also very handy. The pool is indeed lovely, with the added bonus of plenty of sunbeds. I'm glad you enjoyed using it.
With so many restraunts to choose from in Alvor you're spoilt for choice. We have always found the food delicious with lots of choice, there's no need to stay in and cook! The local supermarkets are handy. The fresh fruit and meat market in the centre offers a superb choice, always very fresh. We often stock up at a large supermarket in Portimao called "Continente", this has everything you would expect to find in a UK supermarket. It's good to hear that the found the booking process quite straightforward and that you found our service friendly and accessable. Thanks for recommending our apartment to family and friends, it's good to hear that you will be our guests again in the future.
