Kefalonia Can Be Driven Around In Under Four Hours, So You Are Never Far From Places Of Natural Beauty. Assos, Myrtos Beach (As Seen In Captain Corelli's Mandolin), The Beautiful Port of Sami Are All Within Forty Minutes Drive Of Pessada. Visit the150-million year old Drogarati Caves and the breathtaking underground lake of Melissan. For The Wine Buffs Amongst You a Trip To St Gerasimos Monastery and wine tasting at the Robola Winery Is Essential. Further Up North But Still Only An Hours Drive Is the picturesque fishing village of Fiskardo. It is well worth the visit to see the only village to have survived the 1953 earthquake. Beaches are plenty. Secluded coves can be found all along the coastline. Lassi for the more adventurous is ten minutes away and offers an array of watersports including jet skis and water skiing.
