This exceptional villa is located on the exclusive quiet residential area of Las Coloradas, the detached villa is furnished to a high standard and equipped throughout with everything you need for a fabulous holiday. Patio doors lead from the lounge to the south facing terrace and newly built large solar heated pool with walk in steps for ease of access and is set in private walled gardens with superb mountain views. The living room with apex ceilings has comfortable leather settees and comes equipped with LCD TV/ DVD player with a selection of DVDs and Hi-Fi with MP3 player connection. Both bedrooms and kitchen area have ceiling fans, all windows have shutters with mosquito nets. At the rear of the villa you will find another terrace area for relaxing or alfresco dining. Being only a few minutes walk from the sea, this is the ideal peaceful location to relax with family or friends.

The villa is located 10/15 minutes walk to the fabulous beaches of Papagayo and within easy reach of bars, restaurants and supermarkets. In the village of Las Coloradas (El Pueblo) which is a 5 minute walk away, there is an excellent supermarket selling fresh meat/fish/fruit etc, a couple of excellent restaurants, cafe/bar, sports bar, playground and various other shops along with a 5-star hotel. A 20 min stroll along the seafront promenade will bring you to the Marina Rubicon where you can enjoy a meal at one of the many fantastic restaurants or sit & enjoy a drink at one of the bars overlooking this 400 berth marina. A further 20 minute walk along the seafront will bring you into the centre of Playa Blanca which is situated on the south coast and boasts more sunshine hours than other resorts on the island. It has been tastefully developed and has spectacular beaches. It has a wonderful pedestrianised shopping area as well as many seafront bars, cafes and restaurants.

Notes: Both bedrooms are very spacious and have large fitted wardrobes, the double bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, both bathrooms are fitted with double wash hand basins set in vanity units with marble surround and large mirrors above, baths with overhead showers, bidet, WC. The villa has a safe for extra security. Two hairdryers are available for guests use. All linen and towels are provided (please bring your own beach towels), the villa has a weekly maid service. The villa is fitted with sky tv showing a selection of english channels. We ask that you do not smoke in the villa but of course you are welcome to smoke on the terrace.

Changeover Day: Thursday is the main change over day for the island of Lanzarote but we are happy to accommodate different days if we have availability. Please contact Debbie or Ian for the latest availability.

Golf: There are two 18-hole golf courses on the island, one is located 25 minutes from the villa, the other approx 40 minutes drive. There is also a 9 hole pitch and putt course in Playa Blanca.

Tourist Attractions and information: It is worthwhile hiring a car as there are many places of interest on Lanzarote for you to see, for example the fabulous Timanfaya National Park, Cesar Manrique house (the famous Lanzarote artist), Cueva de Los Verdes (the green caves), El Golfo with the natual green lagoon and many more. The villa has an information book which gives you details on all the local activities and places to see. We are also nearby to answer any questions you may have while staying at Villa Montaña Vista. We can also offer advice on local car hire companies. Playa Blanca now has a local bus service which covers all areas of the resort.

Lovely Relaxing Stay

This was the first time we had taken a private hire villa and it was a really excellent experience. The villa terrace and pool are very private and the solar heating on the pool worked a treat. The pool was always lovely and warm. The villa is so very well equipped it had everything you could possibly expect and it was so clean and well presented. My contact with the owner was vey business like and efficient. The TV in the villa played DVDs but the TV channel selection was limited to Spanish or UK News. The walk to the marina and the Papagayo beaches might be too much for some and the walk into Playa Blanca centre will be too far for most and I would recommend a hire car. The local centre is a 10 minute walk away. This is still being developed and some of the shops are being fitted out. Here there is a bus stop for buses to Playa Blanca (every 30mins) and a taxi rank. There are a couple of restaurants and a sports bar showing all the Sky Sports in the local centre and soon there will be a small supermarket.
I would certainly recommend this villa to a friend or relative and would like to be able to return myself soon.

Our holidays to remember

This is our 2nd stay in Villa Montana Vista and we would highly recommend it. Debbie and Ian do a superb job in maintaing the villa. The location is lovely and tranquil. Marina Rubicon is a must (go and choose your yacht) If you sit sit at Lani's snack bar about 11.00 at night you will actually see big barracuda come out, and they are big about three foot long. Thought my husband was me spinning a fishermans tale untill I saw one. There is also plenty of bar life and restaurants along Playa Blanca if that appeals to you. The whole Island is so beautiful and that it captures you, making you wanting to return. So If You are thinking about taking a holiday this is your ideal place to stay, the villa and island is so beautiful it won't let you down.
Hoping to be coming back again later this year.

Heaven In The Canaries

Having just returned from staying here, I can only describe it as "heaven", the accomodation is of a high standard and well maintained.Like the other 2 reviews,we are very shortly going to book to go back again next year, cannot wait for 52 weeks time. OUR MOST PEACEFUL STAY IN THE CANARIES

After 20 or more years of visiting the Canaries at least once
a year our stay at Villa Montana Vista has to be the most
peaceful of all.
The villa is exactly as described and offers a situation and lifestyle that requires very little effort to become totally at
ease with.
The local restaurants offer first class dining at not too an
extravagant cost.
The harbour Marina Rubicon is a very pleasant 20-25 min.
stroll along the clifftop promenade and offers a wide selection of both shops and restaurants. A further 20 min stroll takes you to the centre of Playa Blanca which offers
most everything you would have need for whatever type of
holiday you are after.
But the main beauty of this holiday for us was the Villa Montana Vista and its utter tranquility and peace at all times of the day or night. Making breakfast or dinner at home a really special occasion. We booked our next stay
before we left this time and eagerly await 2009.
