The village of Assos is located in the North of Kefalonia, renowned for its charm, traditional architecture and outstanding natural beauty. The village offer an excellent choice of restaurants, many of which offer fresh seafood, a few cafes and bars as well as a mini-market and small souvenir shops. The beaches of Assos offer excellent swimming and snorkelling and sunbeds are available to hire. The Venetian fortress perches on the peninsular of Assos, offering excellent opportunities for exploring and walking, and the village itself is popular with nature and photography enthusiasts. With a number of original Kefalonian style houses the architecture of the village is second to none. Being located in the North of the island means that the apartment is within easy driving distance to Myrtos Beach -voted one of the most popular beaches in the whole of Greece for its stunning beauty.
