Riad Dar Zaman is a gorgeous boutique guesthouse, offering four exquisite double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning. Both the salon and salle à manger have fireplaces, and a third smaller salon is equipped with satellite TV and wifi hotspot. A sumptuous breakfast is offered free of charge: freshly squeezed orange juice, tea and coffee, yogurt, eggs, and a wonderful selection of fresh bread, croissants, pastries and crepes with honey and jam. The terrace is a wonderful place to relax in the sun or shade, surrounded by olive trees, hibiscus and jasmine, with views over the medina rooftops to the Koutoubia Mosque and on a clear day, stunning views of the High Atlas mountains. The stay at the Riad was magical…step inside and this calm peaceful place greets you. It has been recently refurbished to a high standard…I felt so safe and at peace with the world…Breakfast was a joy…

We stayed in the riad for 10 days during May 2008. Neither of us had been to Morocco before. We had the warmest of welcomes from Peter the owner and the welcome continued throughout our stay. The riad is such a relaxing place to stay, with the most amazing of home cooked food. We stayed in the terrace room, waking up to the most amazing breakfast each morning. I cannot fault this holiday....We want to go back soon. Many thanks to Peter, Hassan and Fatima for making our stay so wonderful.

We loved the riad and thought it was beautifully restored. Peter was extremely helpful and organised taxis, a visit to a fantastic restaurant/piscine in the mountains where we had a relaxing day and gorgeous lunch, he also booked our coach travel to the coast.
Hassan was very attentive and we enjoyed a lovely evening meal served by him and prepared by Fatima. The riad is immaculately maintained and we particularly enjoyed the terrace

It was amazing to be in this lovely riad set so close to the souks and amidst the local Marrakesh people.
