The Peak District National Park has some of the most stunning countryside in England. Designated as Britain's first National Park, and covering 500 square miles across several counties, it attracts visitors from all around the world. Derbyshire is famous for its natural beauty, from peaks and dales, to picturesque villages, streams and rivers, lime stone villages and dry stone walls, which give the area so much character. The cottage is located in Cromford, which is World Heritage Site because of the villages significant history. Time and time again guests comment about the great location of cottage for visiting the many places of interest, and local attractions such as: Alton Towers and Chatsworth House (full details below). The self catering cottage is also conveniently located for access to local amenities in the village, and close to the near by town of Matlock. For those wishing to visit nearby cities Manchester, Nottingham and Sheffield are all within an hours drive.

  • The beautifully refurbished bathroom has plenty of character. There is the original beam, along with pine floor boards. There are beautiful views which can be appreciated whilst bathing. Facilites include a panelled bath with a shower fitted over, and shaving point. There is a second toilet which has been praised by mums!, allocated outside.

The room includes the original stone window seat, a Derbyshire Stone Fire, and an antique period bed. There is plenty of storage space, with a wardrobe and chest of drawers. A cosy second SINGLE ROOM includes the original beam, and overlooks the glorious surrounding countryside. Again, storage space is provided with a single wardrobe. The large yet cosy MASTER BEDROOM on the second floor includes; the original floorboards, a stone window seat, a Derbyshire Stone fire, and a beamed ceiling There is plenty of room for the king size bed, and ample storage space with a double wardrobe and a chest of drawers. Enjoy breakfast in bed thanks to coffee making facilites, and a toaster. BREAFAST IN BED IS PROVIDED FOR couples, which includes; coffer/tea, orange, cereal, fresh local bread, and conserves.

The main feature of this room is the LARGE OPEN FIRE place, which really creates a cosy feel. Along with the television, there is a DVD player and CD/radio system. THE GARDEN to the rear of the cottage includes garden furniture and a BBQ in the summer, allowing you to sit and enjoy your surroundings.
