Located in the center of the Meribel resort - The Heart of the 3 valleys. Completely renovated, our apartment particularly cosy with a sunny balcony, western exposure offers a spectacular, uninterrupted view of the Meribel resort, 1600. The apartment is ideally located in the Morel quartier next to the famous Route de la Renarde, a ski lift being only 100 meters from the back of the chalet(just across the street). If you would like to enjoy all the shops, restaurants, bars, as well as bowling and an olympic ice rink and indoor swimming pool in the centre of the station, access is provided to the centre by way of private stairs. Otherwise within a 100 meters (1 minute) walking distance you have shops for ski rental, food, a restaurant et medical services. For a relaxation massage, in the chalet you have British chartered physiotherapists. Because of central location and the free ski bus stops near the front entrance, a car is not needed but a parking space is assigned.

  • The apartment, totally renovated in the summer of 2007 and decorated in the alpine style offers all the comfort necessary for your stay. The kitchen is fully equipped for 4 people. In the living area there is TV and DVD player as well as sleeping for 2 on a double sofabed. In the closed off cabin area there is sleeping for 2 in single bunk beds. Toilets and bathroom are separate. The balcony is equipped with chairs and side tables enabling you to enjoy the outstanding view and tranquillity. Private assigned parking space just next to the front entrance, included. There is a ski/boot locker on the lower ground floor and a lift in the chalet. Bed linens and towels are provided and beds are made up for your arrival. Rates include full clean before and after your stay as well as electricity and water consumed.

We foudn the apartment to be lovely and warm, cosy and well decorated. Although it is small, there is everything you need- we cooked 7 meals on the hobs to save money eating out!!

The apartment is not one bedroom- it is a studio with bunkbeds in the entrance that can be shuttered off. Saying this, there is quite a bit of storage available and we didnt struggle for space- and we were four adults. Perfect for 2 adults and 2 kids really.

The location is good- its about a 15 minute walk down to the chaudanne where the lifts all go from, although it is very close to the Morel chair lift so depending on where you want to ski, it is possilbe to ski in -ski out i guess.

Good value for money considering what we heard other people had paid- and it really wasnt a trauma to cook either- we did one big shop at the beginning of the holiday and took it in turns to cook- so dont let self catering put you off!

Overall a very nice stay and we would go back again.

We are a young coupled and stayed at the apartment for one week during the ski season.

Overall our impression is really good and we will consider it for future stays.


ABOUT THE LOCATION

It is located at Meribel, it is very close to the Morel chair lift (~40 m) to which you can ski out.

It is about a 20-minute walk to the Chaudane (Meribel ski center). It has regular buses that run every 20 minutes.

You can get the ski passes at Altiport where you can get by taking the Morel ski lift. There is free access to Morel lift.


ABOUT THE APARTMENT

We have found it very neat, clean and confi. It is also important to take in mind that we were only a couple.

There is a sofa that converts into a nice double bed. We left it open the whole stay.

The aparment in full of nice little details: board games, books, raclette, fondue, DVD, etc.

It has a nice balcony with great view to the Meribel town, valley and ski runs. That was my favourite spot for apres ski beer in hand!

It has a ski locker with direct access to the street and a parking spot very valuable and Meribel town.


OTHER DETAILS AND THINGS TO HAVE IN MIND

The landlord was very helpful and kept me informed at all time. I was provided with very clear and well-prepared documentation that made me enjoy the trip weeks before going.

The price includes cleaning services (not included in the prices of some other web sites or agencies offer).

The swimming pool is at the Olympic Center (Chaudane) it costs around 4.5 EUR/person and the spa 26 EUR/person.

There was a family with two children at the apartment next to us and they seemed to be fine.

No fine letter whatsoever.

We had a lovely stay in Meribel in this cosy appartment. Eveywhere was spotlessly clean and it was full of personal touches, candles pictures lovely quilt covers, cushions which all mean alot when you are away. The kitchen area was very well equipped with everything you need even a fondue. The local shop was great and a ski lift nearby. the busses into meribel were really regular although the walk is not far and good to losen up after a good days skiing! A great location and a great appartment thanks.
