A traditional cottage in the brick and flint of Norfolk, Hawthorn Cottage is a comfortable home ideal for holidays and short breaks. Set in the quiet village of Helhoughton in the beautiful North Norfolk countryside yet a short distance from the lovely beaches, the cottage has been recently refurbished to create a relaxing, self-catering holiday home where you can do as little or as much as you like. Ideally situated in the centre of the area nothing is too far. From here you can explore the surrounding area, watch the abundance of birdlife and discover the unspoilt beaches. Those a little more adventurous can challenge themselves on the nearby woodland high ropes adventure course or have a flutter at Fakenham Races. Accommodation includes large, comfortable sitting room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, separate WC and two bedrooms. Hawthorn Cottage is in the quiet village of Helhoughton, just 5 minutes drive from the market town of Fakenham. Only 20 minutes away are the beaches of Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham, their great expanse and beautiful huge skies are a delight in both summer and winter. Birdwatching fans come from miles to admire the migration. Being quite central in North Norfolk nothing is too far. Within easy reach are Hunstanton, Brancaster, Burnham Market and Burnham Overy Staithe, Blakeney, Cley, Holt and Cromer. Surrounding the village are some lovely country walks and historic churches and houses such as Houghton Hall. Fakenham Races are five minutes away - great fun on race days and point to points. Five minutes in the opposite direction is the thrilling 'Extreeme', a woodland high ropes adventure course. Sailing can be found at Brancaster Staithe and Burnham Overy Staithe and in the summer you can take a picnic and enjoy wonderful outdoor concerts in the splendour of the Holkham Estate.
