White Rose is located on the lovely North Cornwall coast between the surfing beach at Polzeath and the beautiful beach at Daymer Bay, ideal for families with young children.

The accommodation includes a spacious living room with views over the countryside, together with a double bedroom, twin and a single bedroom. There are two TVs, a DVD player and we provide duvets, blankets, pillows and tea towels.

There is off-road parking for four cars. At the back there is a decking area ideal for drinks and BBQs, and a combination of hedges and shrubs provides a nice level of privacy to the garden.

Within walking distance of White Rose are shops in Polzeath, pubs and restaurants, plus the beautiful North Cornwall coastal path. Besides swimming at Polzeath Beach, Daymer Bay is excellent for windsurfing and kite surfing, and nearby Rock provides opportunities for sailing and water skiing. St Enodoc and Roserrow golf courses are both within 10 minutes' drive, and try cycling along the Camel Trail.

White Rose is situated on the beautiful north coast of Cornwall between Polzeath Beach and Daymer Bay, close to the town of Wadebridge and the famous fishing village of Padstow. White Rose is within easy walking distance of the surfing beach, shops and pubs/restaurants in Polzeath, and less than ten minutes drive from Rock which offers sailing, waterskiing and fishing trips. A ferry service operates from Rock across to Padstow.

Besides the lovely beaches of Polzeath and Daymer Bay, walking along the coastal path close by provides wonderful views of the rugged coastline and Camel Estuary. There are also two golf courses within ten minutes drive.

Tourist attractions nearby include the Eden Project, the surfing resort of Newquay and the village of Port Isaac, setting for the TV series Doc Martin.

Easy access to Polzeath is via the A30 and A38 main roads, whilst Bodmin Parkway provides a rail service to Paddington, and nearby Newquay Airport provides a daily service to London Stansted.

White Rose Cottage

White Rose Cottage is the perfect location for a Cornish beach family holiday. The cottage itself is exactly as its friendly owners advertise: clean, well-equipped, comfortable, spacious and perfectly situated. We particularly appreciated the house being such a short walk up the valley from the beach and the stunning views from the lounge, the decking outside and the garden. Our family (two teenage girls and their 'young at heart' parents) came to Polzeath in search of water sports, relaxation, walking and the inspiration that stunning seaside scenery provides. We found all of it and booked up immediately for two more weeks of the same next year! But this is a village that caters for everyone between two and ninety-two, and White Rose Cottage is an ideal 'home from home' from which to enjoy it.

The White rose

After driving three young children on the long trip from Dorset to polzeath finding the White Rose and it's large private garden was a welcome relief! Not only for but allowing the children to stretch their legs after the journey, and throughout our stay. The property itself didn't disappoint, clean and comfortably catering for two families with room for more. All the rooms were well furnished, and with every utensil necessary in the kitchen for eating in, barbecuing and picnicking made for an easy life. The White Rose itself is perfectly situated close to polzeath beach with it's great surf, clifftop walks, pubs and restaurants, it really is a wonderful place to spend a week or two. But most importantly the children were entertained from start to finish, with daymer bay (a child friendly beach) a short drive away, rock pooling, sand castles etc... And rocks ferry trip to padstow with all it's offerings, it really was a magical time for them and the adults. We can't recommend White Rose enough, almost home from home. We will certainly visit again.

Fantastic and convenient place to stay

We regularly visit Cornwall and I would highly recommend this letting. The owners were very accommodating particularly as we wanted to change our dates around.

The house is clean and light and bright with great decking out the back that we were able to sit on to eat. It is in a great location really close to the beach and and we were able to walk up after surfing to have a much needed shower!

The walks around the coast are stunning and we particularly recommend the walk to Pentire point. The owners helpfully had a map at the bungalow that we could use.

I would really recommend this property to families and groups of friends.

WHITE ROSE COTTAGE

This is the fourth time we have stayed at White Rose Cottage as it is so relaxing and provides everything you need for a beach holiday. The beds are very comfortable and the views into a small valley from the decking are peaceful and there is a lovely private garden. The property is clean and well maintained and the owners are easy to communicate with. We enjoyed spending days walking with our dog either on Polzeath Beach in the off season or Daymar Bay nearby. There is also parking on the beach which is good if you don't fancy the short, if slightly hilly, walk down. What especially attracts us is being able to go down to the beach and do some body surfing or cycling along the Camel estuary. It is also a good base from which to go out for the day and visit other places in Cornwall.
