This pretty barn conversion is compact but with bags of character and sleeps 4 people comfortably.! Catalan tiles of terracotta and yellow follow throughout the interior against white walls. This light and airy property has yellow shutters outside and the original barn doors. A tiny courtyard leads into a fitted kitchen and L-shaped lounge/diner, with dining for 6 and comfy sofas , CD player ,radio and books. There is a large bathroom with bath and shower plus washing machine and iron. The barn is in the heart of the quiet ,unspoilt 9th century village of Trausse which has 400 people -and 4 wine caves! In the heart of Cathar country, you are near all the Cathar ruins, at the bottom of the foothills of the Montagne Noir (Black Mountains) with beautiful walks/drives and 50 minutes from sandy beaches! There is a wood burner for those of you who would like a warm cosy winter long let or a special discount for Christmas . NEW FOR 2009 - satellite tv, free-view box and DVD.

  • N.B. Prices are for 1/2 persons in one bedroom . Additional guests, (persons 3 - 4 ) in the second bedroom are an additional 150 euros per week .

    Security deposit of 200 euros per booking is payable against loss of keys, additional cleaning, - refundable damage/breakage. Winter heating of 50 euros per week is applicable from 17 October - end of March inclusive.

  • Changeover day is flexible to accommodate guests flight requirements.
    The arrival time is 1500 and departure is by 1100.
  • Please note that ALL deposits and final balances are to be made via the owner's pay pall system.

There is a side table and standard lamp. This room also has a Bedouin type linen-covered wardrobe with baskets below.

Notes: This barn conversion retains all the characteristics of a bygone era! The Original floor tiles are retained in the kitchen, and the staircase is original. The stone walls -are at least 1/2 metre plus! - and will keep you cool in summer and warm in Winter! However, they also don't allow a mobile phone signal, but you will get a signal in the nearby square. The kitchen is a typical French Country kitchen, with a fan assisted oven and gas hob., and microwave A full range of cutlery, crockery and utensils are supplied Additional heaters/fans are available according to season.
