Villa Hestia is a spacious, new 3 bedroom villa with 120sq metres of living area, located on the award winning White Houses of Lardos Sleeps up to 8 persons + infants . Found in a quiet part of the village yet only 300 metres from the village square. The villa has 2 floors: ground floor with lounge, kitchen/dining room, twin bedroom and shower room. First floor with 2 double bedrooms, shower room, gazebo covered east and south facing balcony with mountain views. Furthermore, a secluded corner (the west sun terrace) for the late afternoon sun. Outside, a level tiled terrace on the south and east sides, garden, car port and of course the 8m x 4m swimming pool for your sole use. This is an ideal base to stay for Lindos weddings. The villa has air conditioning/warm air units throughout. Tile flooring throughout the villa, including the gazebo balcony, the west sun terrace and the pool terrace. The villa is located in a quiet cul-de-sac, on the edge of Lardos yet 2 mins from the square

Lardos beach is in a bay with mountains and cliffs on two sides. Glystra beach 1.5 miles. St Paul's Bay 5 miles, 10 mins drive (bus 1 euro) small beach, beautiful setting, found directly below the Acropolis, but never in its shadow. Beach/snack bar. Great snorkelling. Weddings daily at the chapel from 3pm, next to beach. Lindos Bay 5.5 miles, 12 mins drive (bus 1 euro), large curving white sand beach with excellent views, restaurants and bars, sunbeds/parasols. Restaurants and bars in Lardos: Try Roulas restaurant in The Square, and Valentinas also in The Square, great food at good prices (comes highly recommended by guests) Also 'The Old House ' restaurant with it's terraced views. Just outside the village is The Helios Crazy Golf course which is floodlit and a full size Go Kart circuit. A visit to Lindos is not to be missed with its numerous shops selling just about everything the tourist could want. The local monasteries hold regular wine tasting festivals throughout the summer.

  • An inflatable double bed is provided for guests 7 and 8. The first floor double bedrooms open onto the south facing double aspect balcony with mountain views. The two single beds are located in the third bedroom on the ground floor. All bedrooms have air conditioning at a small charge. A travel cot is provided for the younger guest, along with baby bath and changing mat. Each bedroom is provided with plug in 3 pin power adaptors . We have also provided a shaver adaptor. The master bedroom benefits from a long wall mounted mirror. Linen - Cotton sheets and pillowcases are provided along with numerous blankets and covers. Towels - Cotton bath and hand towels. All bedrooms have heavy duty full window length net curtains and wooden locking louvred window shutters. If you require internet access, there are 3 cafes in the village square offering this service..

Notes: Daphne our maid will prepare the house for your arrival and will attend again during a 14 night stay to clean and change linen ( Except Nov - March ) In the garden there are 6 sun loungers, 8 wooden garden chairs & table Weber kettle BBQ. Calum calls most days to service the pool.and garden. We have numerous pool toys and inflatable pool loungers to make the most of the pool. Our DVD collection amounts to approx 200 with a wide range of tastes from romantics, adventure, natural world, thrillers to Harry Potter and Walt Disney classics. Something for everyone ! Your CD's will play on the DVD player. We also have a freeview satellite TV with several English speaking channels.

GOLF: Afandou Golf Club, laid out in 1973 is an 18 hole championship course of 6,800 yards, par 73 designed by Donald Harradine the renowned English course designer. It is only a 25k drive away from the villa along the scenic coastal road. The course is adjacent to the Aegean sea and a combination of seaside links and parkland holes with great views of the beautiful coastline and mountains. Green fees: Nov-Mar 17 euros, Apr-Oct 35.

TRAVEL TO RHODES: Direct flights leave most UK airports, including Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, Leeds/Bradford, Birmingham, Bristol, Stansted, Luton, Heathrow, Gatwick, from late March to the end of October. Nov - Mid March via Athens with 10 daily connections using either Aegean or Olympic airlines. Our son Grahame is an internet based travel agent and can provide you with no obligation quotes for your travel arrangements- please ask for details. We also have details of discount car hire on request and transfers in a Mercedes from the airport.

Enjoyable Holiday at Villa Hestia

This was our first holiday at the villa, and Lardos, It is in a pretty and private location. The villa was clean and tidy when we arrived and fully equipped if you prefer to eat in and not wish to eat out, Daphnie the house keeper met us there with a starter welcome pack, which was much appreciated, The village is only small and a short walk away approx 5 mins, with several supermarkets, butchers, bakers, fish market, bars and resturants Roulas being excellent for food and our favourite, all the staff are very pleasant and welcoming. Yamas bar played good music and made us feel very welcome. There was a wine festival on whilst we where there with free wine and food, dancing and entertainment which was very good, there is a bus route from the village square to Lindos, st pauls bay, pefkos and Rhodes town and various other places, we found it better and more convenient to hire a car to get about as we had a small baby in our party, we had a lovely holiday and would recommend villa hestia. We stayed as a family party of six at Villa Hestia, we found it had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable, clean and modern well equipped in a quiet location on the edge of lardos village, yet only a couple of minutes walk from the ambience of the village square, with its excellent traditional tavernas, Roulas and Vallentinoes being our favourites, in the square you can enjoy a meal or a drink in one of the pleasant bars and watch the friendly welcoming locals go about their life, we hope to stay at villa hestia again, and would like to say thank you to the owners.

my husband and myself have stayed at villa hestia for the second year running , i would recomend this holiday for any one just wanting to relax or go out and enjoy the country side we mainly ate at roulas in the square which is a 2 minute walk the food was a1 i have found the owners of this property very easy to get along with and very help full thank you Bob &Diane for letting us stay in your wonderful villa Chris & Harry

The villa was clean and spacious when we arrived, all as promised and well equipped. Beautiful setting and peaceful. The locals in Lardos village made us feel very welcome. Thoroughly enjoyed by all in our party. We would have no hesitation in recommending both the villa and the location to friends.
Whilst being in a quiet location, shops and restaurants were within easy walking distance. Nice beach nearby for enjoying the sun, swimming and snorkelling. We went to attend our eldest son's wedding in Lindos, St Pauls Bay which was a beautiful, romantic setting. All the party enjoyed their stay at Villa Hestia.

A wonderfull two weeks

With my wife Sally and two friends, Richard and Denise the arrival at the villa was just the start of a wonderfull two weeks.
The layout and condition was beyond our expectations and we all felt fully at home immediatly.
The rooms were well decorated and comfortably furnished.
Sitting out on the veranda, either upstairs or by the pool, enjoying the local food and weather was really relaxing.
The village was only a couple of minutes walk away and we soon found regular mini markets bakers and of course ,Tavernas with great greek food.
All in all we had a wonderfull time and will not hesitate to return.
