Paphos Harbour:
Within walking distance from the property you will find the harbour. The harbour at Paphos attracts visitors all year round, who take the opportunity to walk along the quay and maybe visit one of the fish restaurants, tavernas or cafes. The view is superb, with lots of colourful fishing boats bobbing in the harbour. The castle is in fact all that remains of a much earlier castle dating from 1391, which was demolished by the Venetians.
The Ottomans used it as dungeons and the British as a warehouse for salt! It can be reached via a small bridge over a moat and is worth a visit for the view from the top. Opening hours - winter daily 9am to 5pm - summer daily 9am to 6pm - tel 26932841 (Paphos Tourism Office).
The harbour is also a good place to take a boat tour of the surrounding beaches and coastline. Here you will find restaurants, shops, boutiques, takeaways, a beautiful view over the glittering crystal sea, the aquarium and a lively nightlife along the famous Bar street.
Coral bay Resort:
The resort of Coral Bay can be found on a short bus trip along the coastal road. Coral Bay is a lovely day out for all the family, here you will find the famous best sandy beach in the area with beach cafe and water sports. The resort has many restaurants offering traditional Cypriot cuisine and other tastes from around the world, you can have snacks during the day or a special meal out where you can then pick up the lively nightlife in 'Kleo's' bar and 'Blazing Saddles' for Karaoke.
There are taxi services here and many supermarket/ Kiosks selling souvenirs and local produce. The area of Coral Bay leads on to the Seacaves a very sought after area for residence here in Cyprus, here you can marvel at the enormous properties which have been custom built for the buyer.
On the backdrop of the mountains you will also find a traditional village called Peyia. Here you will find local butchers, baker and the popular Peyia tavern where you will find the best Meze in Cyprus, amongst much more
