The villa is situated a few minutes drive (20 mins. walk) from the village of Canillas de Aceituno, a picturesque pueblo blanco nestling below the mountain peak of La Maroma in the foothills of the Sierra Tejeda. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty. The village offers bars, restaurants, shops, banks etc. The villa is ideal for a variety of holiday types. It is equally suited to family, activity or romantic holidays and is an ideal base from which to explore the Sierra Tejeda Natural Park and to enjoy the varied wildlife. Eagles, hoopoes, wild boar are all common in this area dependent upon the time of year. Accomm. comprises lounge, dining room, fully-fitted kitchen, utility room, bathroom, 3 ground floor bedrooms, 1 first floor bedroom ensuite. The 8m x 5m swimming pool is complemented by an outdoor kitchen/dining area incorporating a barbecue. There are several shaded seating areas around the villa and the garden, extending to about one acre, includes orange and olive trees

Nearest Beach: beach at 12.0 Miles

Canillas de Aceituno is a one hour drive from Malaga Airport. It is situated in the Sierra Tejeda Natural Park in the Axarquia region of Andalucia. The capital of the Axarquia is the historic town of Velez Malaga, a 20 minute drive away. On its outskirts there is a large shopping mall with multi-screen cinema and restaurants. There is also an aqua park. Velez Malaga leads onto the nearest coastal town Torre Del Mar which boasts a long wide promenade linking it to a marina at Caleta de Velez. Golf, water sports, carting, quad excursions, horse riding are all available in the area. Granada with its famed Alhambra Palace is a 2hr . drive and Seville can be reached in 2.5 hours. Malaga City, with its Cathedral and Picasso Art Gallery, is a 40 minute drive. Semana Santa (Easter) hails the start of the Fiestas which continue to be celebrated throughout the summer months in every city, town and village. It is an experience not to be missed.

A break away from it all but not too remote, our holiday was fabulous. I think this has to be the first year we have not wanted to come home from holiday - even watering the plants was pleasurable (just embracing the way of life), together with goat, sheep bells, shepherds, eagles and fasinating reptiles (one for the children, without doubt).

Body and mind rested and that ever so precious and important family time used to the full.

Something for everyone.

The perfect holiday!

We are a family of five, and spent two weeks in this fantastic villa in July 2009.

The entire property is fantastic, and gave us the ultimate holiday. The outside kitchen was used for cooking of all meals, and we could be social all together when cooking.

The location in the mountains was great, and the caretaker Heather just wanted us to be happy and have a great time.

The house and outside area was clean and tidy, as well as the pool, which we all enjoyed all the time.

The owner of the house also called to check that everything was ok, and it was!

I would highly recommend this house to anyone, and if you want peace and quiet, it`s absolutely perfect!
We are already planning on renting it again next year, with some friends!

Fantastic Villa

Our family of 9 had a fantastic 2 weeks stay in this villa, it has everything you could possibly need to hand. The laundry room was a "Godsend"
The lounge has a plasma tv, which kept my son entertained with all his programmes on sky tv, WHEN he wasn't in the pool.
It has four seperate seating areas all around the villa for a little privacy when it is required.
Great place as a base for sightseeing, but everyone wanted to go back to the villa as soon as possible.
We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this villa to anyone.
It was Beautiful. And the Lady who takes care of the villa, Heather, who lives locally, was so friendly that she felt like a friend.
