This beautiful Spanish family villa with 3 levels stands on its own grounds with private pool, gardens and sun terraces and is ideally located a short walk to the beach. Access to the main living area is via a flight of steps passing the pool to the 2nd level and into the main part of the villa where there is a safety gate. Dine 'al fresco' in the enclosed patio area or on one of the terraces. A double and twin bedroom are on this level as is the family shower room. The 3rd bedroom is double with en suite shower and is located in the tower on the 3rd level and is separate from the main living area with its own sun terrace. The lower level consists a self contained apartment with lounge, kitchen, double bedroom and bathroom. For your comfort there air conditioning and ceiling fans and for you entertainment there is a satellite TV system installed to view on the 32' plasma TV. La Zenia is within walking distance of all local amenities with its large Consum supermarket, many restaurants to suit all tastes and nationalities, bars, cafes, shops and banks. There is also a terrific street market held each Saturday locally. The fantastic beach of La Zenia is within easy walking distance as are beautiful coastal walks. Very close to the villa is the Orihuela Costa Resort which is popular with families and has some splendid sporting facilities including a gym, tennis courts, 2 superb swimming pools and restaurant. The bustling cosmopolitan coastal town of Torrevieja, which is only a 15 minutes drive away, is an old fishing town but has grown significantly in recent years, and has now become a first-class tourist location with market stalls, beautiful beaches, squares, walks, parks, gardens and other natural beauty spots. Additional information about rental rates

  • BOOKING DEPOSIT:
    To confirm a booking you will be requested to provide a non returnable deposit of 200 pounds sterling or 20% of the total rental cost whichever is the greater and then 6 weeks prior to the commencement of your holiday the final payment should be made. Payments can be made by cheque or directly through the bank transfer system in either sterling or euros. Confirmation of booking, terms and conditions and directions to the villa will be sent either direct to your home address or via email.
    A refundable security bond of 120 euros in cash is payable on your arrival and this will be returned to you on your day of departure and only after the property has been checked over.
    To cover the cost of cleaning and laundry following your departure there will be an additional local fee of 90 euros to pay on your arrival.
  • SUPPORT SERVICE:
    You will be met on arrival at the villa and a good support service is there for you during your stay.
    Should you be arriving after shopping hours we are able to arrange the purchase of a food parcel on request.
    We can arrange the hire of travel cots, high chairs and other baby equipment, please enquire.
  • TRANSFERS: Airport transfers to and from both Alicante and Murcia airports can be provided at a low budget cost and transport to other locations can also be arranged during your holiday.
    CAR HIRE: Should you wish to hire a car during your stay we may be able to arrange this for you, providing you give us ample notice. Charges for hired cars will be inclusive of airport transfers. Please enquire.
    TAXIS: We are able to provide a low budget taxi service during you stay.

AIRPORTS / FLIGHTS: AIRPORTS: There are two main airports in the Costa Blanca area and these are ALICANTE, which is just a 40 minute drive to the villa and MURCIA, a smaller airport offering low budget flights, is just a 20 minute drive away. AIRLINES: Monarch/Globespan/Rynair/Easyjet/Jet2/BmiBaby offering budget and scheduled flights from Stansted, Gatwick, Luton, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Prestwick, Shannon, Dublin, Cork and other major European airports. PLACES TO VISIT: TORREVIEJA: Salt Lakes -Over 50 percent of the Torrevieja town consists of two enormous Salt Lakes of Torrevieja and La Mata, which gives it its microclimate. Bathing in the salt lakes is known to be effective against asthma, rheumatism, dermatological, heart diseases, skin disorders and other health problems. With an average annual temperature of over 20 degrees centigrade and 340 days sunshine a year, this makes the area a very healthy climate. Water Park - open from May - Oct. Shopping - Habanaras shopping centre with 3 floors of clothing, shoes, sports and more Torrevieja market - next to the seafront and harbours and is open daily from 12am-10.30pm every day, all year round. Torrevieja Attractions The Ozone Leisure Complex popular for both children and adults, is a complex with Restaurants and Bars. It has an IMF Cinema, KFC and Bowling Alley.

BEACHES: La Zenia boasts a couple of excellent beaches, Cala Bosque and Cala Cerrada and is also close to some other superb beaches at Cabo Roig and Playa Flamenca. Both beaches are honoured ‘blue flag’ status and are well cared for and maintained. Another great feature is the picturesque cliff walk to Cabo Roig, with stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea towards the sports resort of La Manga.

Ski:

Golf: Just a short drive from the villa are three superb golf courses and these are the championship golf course at Villamartin, not for the faint hearted is Las Ramblas golf course which is considered to be ¨one of the most challenging in Spain¨ and Royal Campoamor which must be one the most stunning courses. Now, within a 20minute drive there are a further 8 golf courses recently constructed for your enjoyment and there are plans to design more fabulous courses in the near future. A great holiday

The property was as described if not better, we could not find the DVD but who needed it with everything else on hand. The initial greeting was great and made us feel at ease from the start. There were six adults and two children in our group and all were well pleased with the property and al it had to offer, the beach only a short walk away was lovely, and the complex over the road was ideal for young children. The villa pool was a nice size, and was well maintained and clean. One observation is that the tiles were a bit slippery when wet, but having been fore warned we treated this with respect. We would all like to return in the near future.

Great villa and location for family holiday

We have just returned from a lovely 3 weeks staying at this villa. It was very well equipped, modern, well maintained and clean. The swimming pool complex located over the road was ideal for children and we spent most of our time there and at the beach.
The set up of the villa is ideal for extended families (we had our Nanny for a week and Grandma for another week) and our 2 year old son loved the pool - with the gate at the top of the garden I felt he was safe there as well.
We would love to return
Owner's Response: The villa is ideally located near to the Orihuela Costa Resort where there a 2 great swimming pools, cafe bar serviing tapas and snacks. It's fabulous resort for meeting other families and the children have such a great time.

Good villa but not without problems

We were amicably greeted on arrival and first impressions were good.

I would agree with other comments posted but we did have a few problems.

The property has too many keys (I'm not being funny here). There were at least 16 keys presented to us on arrival. It does seem that just about every part of the villa uses a different key.

The 'tower' bedroom could not be used as the air conditioner was broken. The door would not lock.

The pool was dirty. It took 3 days, a couple of phone calls and several "pool man" visits to sort it out. In fairness the filter had broken and was pouring sand into the pool.

The appartment had no air conditioning and the 'wet' bathroom ment water spread around the appartment.

The main bedroom didn't have air conditioning.

The 'English TV' stopped working after 3 or 4 days. As there was no old fashioned aerial we couldn't even watch Spanish TV.

Apart from these problems we enjoyed our stay and had a very pleasant holiday.
Owner's Response: As advertised the villa has a separate apartment which is ideal for families who enjoy holidaying together but prefer living in separate accommodation. Therefore there are naturally separate keys so that both families may come and go as they please. A second set is also provided, should they be needed.

The tower air conditioning unit was in fact working however the remote control was found to have been ‘programmed to time’ which may have given the impression the unit was faulty. They door lock to the tower room locks and unlocks in the opposite directions and we will ensure this is pointed out specifically to the occupier(s) of the room.

Air conditioning is not fitted throughout the villa and the website description has been updated to point this out. The apartment has now been fitted with air conditioning in the bedroom and the shower/wet room has been modified to ensure no water travels.

The company who installed the tv system was found to be transmitting illegally and the system was cut off at this property as well as many thousands of other properties. Unfortunately this was out of our control. A system has since been fitted by a ‘legal’ company with many channels to view.

A problem did occur with the pool as described which was very unfortunate and the pool man visited regularly in an effort to keep the pool clean until a new filter could be fitted.

We encourage feed back from all our guests and endeavour to react to any problems within our control as soon as is reasonably possible. We do however need to be aware of any problems preferably at the time and not on departure.

The desciption of the villa is exact. The property was exceptionally clean on our arrival. The swimming pool was lovely and visited by the pool maintenance man twice each week.

As previously written, although definately recommended for families, the outside stairs could be safer (although we had a two year old with us who had no accidents).

I would recommend this property especially if you are looking for holiday that is more spanish!!!

Taking a short walk (through the arches and to the left) we came across cabo roig (a strip of bars and restaraunts)that we were not aware of, if you are looking for more lively evenings this is ideal.
Owner's Response: We pride ourselves and our team in looking after the maintenance and cleanliness of the villa A safety gate has been erected at the top of the main stair villa for those who have younger children.

The villa is ideally located near to Cabo Roig (approximately 10 to 15 minutes walking distance) where there is indeed an abundance of bars and restaurants and marina.

The villa was everything and more it states in the preview pictures and write up. Six of us occupied the villa but would not have been over crowded if 8 of us had stayed. I t is situated in a excellent location, literally 10min walk to the beach and shops so you really do not need a car unless you want to explore a bit further a field. We actually only stayed a week and everything you needed from iron to washing machine can be found in the villa. As there were two young children in our party (5 &1 yr) the steps were our only concern my only suggestion would be possibly a gate at the top of the steps to the main house and airconditioning in the apartment on the lower level of the villa as that can get extremely hot especially if you have weather like we did up in the high 30's other than that it is absolutely ideal for a family or even a party of friends. On arrival at the villa we were met by two of the nicest friendliest people you could meet who made us feel welcome right from the "get go" so to speak (thank you Gena& Kevin). I would recommend this villa without hesitation and will most certainly stay there again myself we had an absolutely lovely time during our weeks stay.
Owner's Response: The villa has had varying guests enjoy their stay, from parties of golfers, all female `chill out´ and ´hen week´, as well as families and all have given great feed back. Our aim of course is to make all our guests feel comfortable and secure and we will be looking at erecting a child safety gate and installing air conditioning in the apartment in the near future.
