Getting to the villa is easy !:
We have a company who look after the villa for us when we are not here called Costa Brava Connections. They will send you on complete and very accurate directions of how to get here. It is very easy to find and an easy driving experience even for those not used to driving on the 'wrong' side of the road. If you need any information contact either Phil or David at Costa Brava Connections (0034 972 62 33 36) and they will be able to advise on any queries you may have.
From France and Barcelona you take the AP7 and get off at exit 6.
Barcelona airport is approx 90 minutes away. Girona is our closest airport and is just 45 minutes from the villa The nearest train station is at Flaca and links both to France, Barcelona and beyond.
Around the villa:
The villa is on a very settled residential estate within a short walk of Begur so convenient for those who would like to leave the car behind in the evenings and stroll into Begur for dinner.
The villa itself is set in terraced gardens which are well planted and mature. The private pool has two large terraced areas one to each side with sun loungers and parasols. There is a lovely small terrace to the back of the villa which catches the last of the evening sun, a great place for a romantic drink after the little ones have gone to bed.
The nearest beach is arguably the 'Jewel in the Crown' of the Costa Bravas beaches Aigua Blava (Blue Water). It is a beautiful soft sandy cove with crystal clear waters. Aigua Blava is very popular with snorkelers and swimmers and a very safe beach for non swimmers. The waters do not shelve away as in other areas and the bay being so enclosed the water is always warm even in the winter. Some people swim in Aigua Blava all year round.
Activities in the area:

Dublin, the staff of Costa Brava Connections were so helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and they had the answers to all our queries. It was good to know there was somebody there if we needed them as it was our first do it yourself holiday we were a little apprehensive. No worries !! it was just great. Kim and Brucie, Queensland.
