Activities

The apartment is conveniently located very close to the ski-slopes. At the base of the slopes, it is really to arrange equipment hire and lessons. The town of Zakopane is also a significant tourist attraction with its character and charm. Kupowki Street is the most lively place filled with shops, music arts, crafts and architecture, with its original wooden buildings. Christmas in Zakopane is an unique experience The town is beautifully decorated, usually covered with fresh fallen snow. New Year is welcomed outside with many firework displays everywhere. Horse drawn sleighs travel through the town, their horse bells being heard everywhere in the town. In the summer months cultural and recreational events are organized and every August the International Festival of Mountain Folklore event takes place.

The Area

This apartment is in the village of Koscielisko, 6km from Zakopane town centre and very close to the ski slopes. Koscielisko is one of the birthplaces in the history of Polish Skiing. It has hosted a number of important sports events, including World Championships. The village is placed on the South slopes of the Gubalowka Belt. Its serene location has beautiful views of the Giewont Mountain and ski slopes of Kasprowy. This unspoilt rural village is in the foothills of the Tatra Mountains. The houses are built in the traditional local style, huge A-frames constructed from whole tree-trunks. Many of the local Highlanders run B&B accommodation in the winter to cater for visitors to the local ski-slopes. What better way to end a day skiing, cycling or hiking than to take a sauna, relax on your balcony and enjoy the stunning view.
