Lovely typical apartment in Alghero old town near sea
This charming ground floor flat is typical of the 200 year old houses in the old town of Alghero. You see the curved stone ceilings also in many restaurants. The interior is warm in the winter and cool in the summer because of the thick stone walls. The flat is only a few metres from the sea and the 'bastion' walls of the city near via Cavour. The port of Alghero is also close by. The apartment sleeps 4 with a double bedroom, a double sofa bed in the sitting area, a bathroom with shower and a kitchen area. The apartment has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. From the main door to the apartment you are suddenly in the heart of the old town with it's narrow streets and little boutiques, the cellar restaurants and the corner cafès. Alghero is alive all the year round and this apartment is close to evening entertainment and yet only a 10 min walk from the main Alghero Lido beach.

Alghero is the most popular Sardinian tourist destination and it's called the Coral Riviera. It is in the North-West of the island served by Alghero airport and ferries from Genoa to Porto Torres. There are beautiful beaches suitable for all ages and interesting night life for the young and not-so-young. The nearest major town is Sassari served by the narrow gauge train and bus from Alghero. Other lovely towns nearby are Bosa and Stintino which can be reached by bus from Alghero. There is plenty of walking and cycling possible from Alghero to the outlying beaches and Capo Caccia where the Neptune Caves are. There is also a National Park and Asinara, a nature reserve island nearby. There is wonderful diving and snorkeling here.
