Cauterets Information: Cauterets is surrounded by lush countryside featuring breathtaking waterfalls and hot water springs. Ski: We can help you with ski/snowboard hire, purchase your ski passes in advance and book ski /snowboard lessons or ski guides for you. In Cauterets you can find every type of skiing/snowboarding for all ages and abilities. There are two ski areas: The Cirque du Lys and Pont D’Espagne. Cauterets has recently invested over 20 million euros in building the new high speed 8 man telecabine system up to the Cirque du Lys ski area (5 min walk). From here you can access 36km of downhill pistes (from 1350m - 2350m). If you prefer cross country skiing and/or ski touring, or would like to try it as an alternative to downhill skiing or snowboarding, at Pont D’Espagne you can explore over 35km of cross country runs. Kids can go tobogganing and practice skiing on the nursery downhill ski slope.
