The pool is a full sized swimming pool and is south facing and is guaranteed not to disappoint children and adults alike.Nestled on the mountain with a backdrop of chestnut forests delightful for walking. Eventhough it is in such an Idyllic spot it is still only 5 minutes walk away from the nearest village where you can buy your fresh bread daily or 5 minutes drive away from the local town. There are two outside eating areas perfect for Alfresco dining. 5 bedrooms,3 bathrooms,1 dining room, 2 lounges, fabulous log fire,T.V, DVD, Satellite, CD player etc, and delightful rustic kitchen with all modern facilities. Your experience at Castello is one you will no doubt want to repeat, many of our guests return again and again. You do require a car as the villa is positioned 5 mins form the main road but whilst you are in the beauty of the Tuscan hills, you are very well placed to visit all the places of interest and the many attractions in the area.

The villa is private but we live nearby therefore we are on hand if you need any help or knowledge of where to go and what to do. However if you simply want to get away from everything you can also do that.

Fantastic Holiday

Our stay at the villa was fabulous. The villa itself is beautiful and the pool is fantastic. It is a full sized pool and was completely private we spent vertially the whole holiday there, as we could not tear ourselves away from the beauty of the surroundings. The barbeque area by the pool is great and there is more than adequate shade if you need it. All the pool area at night lights up and it’s great to sit by the pool in such a wonderful area or if you feel like it, to take an evening swim.
From the house itself the views of the area are wonderful. It has everything you need but has unbelievable character it is a truly beautiful property. We had a couple of issues with our rental car that needed sorting and the owners were more than happy to sort things out for us when we contacted them, as they spoke Italian. They also recommended places to eat locally, where to go, where the bank is etc.
We would not hesitate to recommend this property to others, indeed one of our party is trying to arrange returning with her family in September.
Owner's Response: We are delighted with the fact you had a great holiday. We have worked hard on the villa to make it extra special. There is no doubt it is in a beautiful position not only for the views but also being so close to Lucca, Florence, the coast and Pisa. This is why we get re.bookings because it is so lovely. I'm glad you felt we helped you because we are conscious that when you are in a different country and you have a situation such as yours, with the rental car, it's nice to know you have help if you need it. The greatest satisfaction to us, is you loved the Villa, as it is delightful, with lots of history but we have made sure it has all the comforts of home.

Family holiday: 3 families with little children

Hi,
We spent our holidays in the Ramigi house for two weeks in August 2009.
Three families with children between 3 and 9, thirteen in total.
The house was big enough to accomodate us all and plenty of space for the children to play.
We think the house is very well located to visit the north Tuscan region, it's not too far from the main road and shops.
The big pool is also a nice attraction for the kids and the adults.
Owners are very helpfull if you have any questions or have a problem.
We really enjoyed our vacation there.

Family Holiday in Italy

If you want a get away from it all holiday then this is the place for you.
The villa is spacious, airy and in a lovely location, whether you like walking or sight seeing, it's all within easy reach.
The pool area is very private, clean and well maintained. There is also plenty of space for eating outside, under shaded verandas ( table tennis is an excellent added bonus).

Our ages range from 10 to 63 and the villa accommodated the 10 of us comfortably with ease.

The owners are friendly and helpful with nothing being too much trouble. A good time was had by all and would come again with large party and recommend to anyone.

Great holiday

This is the third time the 5 of us have stayed at the villa and each time we have an amazing time. We have now become firm friends with the owners who are always happy to help with advice, direction, local knowledge. We would not hesitate to recommend this place for young and old alike. You do need a vehicle to stay here, it is well placed for Pisa. Lucca, Florence, the coast etc. All of them are within reasonable driving distances.There are a number of good local restaurants no further than 10 minutes drive away. We have always had a fabulous time at each of our stays at the villa and we will be back again soon.
Owner's Response: We understand that when you book a holiday you want it to be as near perfect as possible. We try to give this to all our guests in the standard of the villa and support we can give if required.

When you rent a property you need to care about the standard you offer and we do. It always delights us when people have had a good time, as that makes it all worth while.

These guys were only 5 but the villa can take up to 13. Whatever the number it accommodates the party well/
