We have restored a beautiful old building maintaining many of its original features in the elegant historic spa town and mountain sports playground of Cauterets, in the Pyrenees. One of seven luxury yet affordable apartments, this three bedroom 1st floor apartment (named Vignemale) has an open-plan living area, modern fully equipped kitchen (incl. cooker/hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine) and spacious dining area. Living room with sofa bed (sleeps two), flat screen TV and DVD/CD/radio. Balconies front and back overlooking river and mountains, 2 x double bedrooms and third bedroom with twin beds and wash basin, Bathroom with WC, basin and bath/shower, plus additional separate WC. Access to our Salle de Gave room with riverside terrace. We are on hand each day to help organise your holiday activities. Drop by at 4pm to enjoy complimentary tea & cake.

Cauterets situated at 950m, is an historical spa town and all year round mountain sports playground in the Pyrenees. In summer, the town is the ultimate haven for walkers, climbers and cyclists with more than 100 signposted footpaths & tracks plus miles of routes in the wild. In winter it is an authentic Pyrenean ski resort enjoying the best snowfall in the whole of the Pyrenees with a new high speed 8 man telecabine up to the ski station starting at an impressive 1850m for some great skiing/snowboarding for all abilities. Only 4 miles away by car or bus is the breathtaking Pont D'Espagne with lush forests & valleys. In summer enjoy walks for all ages/abilities or pack your rucksack and go trekking, staying at one of the many mountain refuges. In winter it is a magical winter wonderland with over 20 miles of cross country ski runs, snowshoe/walking tracks, plus toboggan slope. The famous religious town of Lourdes is 18 miles north of Cauterets and closest airports are Pau & Toulouse
