Villa within 10 minutes of beach and panoramic sea views
The villa is located less than 10 minutes drive form the coastal fishing village of Bosa on the NW coastline of Sardinia. It is a tranquil area within a hamlet of small houses, a church and piazza. Restaurants and bars are within 15 minutes walk during the tourist season. It offers superb panoramic sea views lying less than 70 metres from the cliff edge with access to a rocky beach. Sandy beaches are less than 10-15 minutes walk and a short drive will take you to secluded and tranquil coves as well as beaches with night clubs and discos in the town of Bosa. The villa itself has modern amenities and was completely refurbished in 2006. Evenings are fantastic with sun sets over the sea directly in front of you from the veranda. It is great for romantic holidays as well as family get together. It is child friendly and can accommodate a maximum of 8 persons (two double rooms and one room with two bunk beds).

The historic Roman town of Bosa is 40 Km from Alghero airport and the house is a 5 minute drive from Bosa. Within walking distance you will find shops and bars. A short drive to Bosa and you will find typical tourist attractions with large beaches, discos, night clubs and larger hypermarkets, banks and all amenities. So you have both worlds and can return to a more tranquil setting. The area is rated 5 stars in the Italian blue guide of beaches. And is often ranked as having some of the cleanest beaches in Europe. Santa Maria is a central spot for religious festivals during the month of August and you get a real feel for local life and celebrations. An internationally renowned golf course if 30 minutes drive designed by Van Hagge. The countryside is spectacular. You can walk from the villa and start a Southerly coastal walk that takes you miles either via the coastline or into the country which is wild and mountainous. You'll experience the breadth of sea weather, heavy and calm.

| Notes: | Whilst we accept smoking we would ask you to appreciate the needs of other tenants who maybe non-smokers and recommend you smoke outside. The front patio is ideal for a cigarette and a glass of wine! The villa has its own garden area and is away from other villas so you feel you have a place of your own whilst not feeling completely isolated with nearby houses in the area and the piazza and church to sit, talk to the locals and read. |

Was the villa “as described”? Well, it seemed better than that, really! The Holiday Rentals site on its own doesn’t quite do this villa justice, somehow. The property owners’ site is much more comprehensive (and has more pictures), so do take the time out to have a look.
It was perfectly clean and well-maintained, and had those little touches (DVD’s, books, games, etc.) that made it feel like someone’s home rather than just a faceless holiday let.
The directions were extensive and accurate (especially useful were the pictures of each stage), and the information and tips in our holiday pack were invaluable.
The views from the patio really can’t be described adequately here. Suffice to say that, whilst on holiday we normally dine out, almost exclusively – we like to find places to eat with good food and great (usually) sea views – and whilst we found the good food locally, the views just couldn’t come close. We spent more evenings eating in than out, just watching the glorious sunsets!
The local beaches have to be seen to be believed. The quiet ones are deserted enough (during the week) for us to be able to pretend we were on our own (and not THAT much busier at the weekend) but still not too far from some refreshments. Note, this is without going “off-road” to find the really secluded coves and beaches.
The ones in Bosa Marina are livelier, with a correspondingly greater choice of food and drinks and proximity to shops, etc.
The sea at both is marvellous, be it calm, blue and clear or, if the wind is up, with those magnificent rolling waves.
We loved Bosa itself – it has lots of interesting nooks and crannies to explore, and places to sit and while away an hour’s people watching with a coffee/beer or two, but with petrol, banking, (ice-cream!) etc. for when real-life intrudes.
So, a great place for a great holiday, with a lovely villa waiting for us at the end of each day. We couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
