Fab location, stunning view, superbly equipped!

We have just returned from a wonderful week at Villa Mannu (mum, dad, 3 teenage kids).The description on this site, (and even more detailed on the owners own site) is extremely accurate, although in reality, the view, and the sunsets,are even more breathtaking! We found the villa spotless on arrival, really well equipped - all the basics, plus loads of extras like books, games, dvds etc. Great to have beach towels provided too - helpful when keeping within luggage allowances! Showers in both bathrooms excellent. Comprehensive instructions both before arrival, and also in the villa for everyday stuff (rubbish system, how washing machine, dishwasher etc work), as well as folder stuffed full of ideas of what to do in the area.
We didin't feel the need to venture far from the villa - gardens and pool and views so magnificent. Pool was plenty big enough for all 5 of us to be in together - very well maintained and clean.Choice of different shaded or sunny sitting out areas with great comfy outdoor furniture, and lovely evening lighting. We all enjoyed the table tennis table, and basketball net.
Beach at Porto Alabe lovely, popular, but nowhere near crowded, even in mid August - just a 5 minute drive (our son walked it in 15 mins), parking no problem. Closest beach only 5 mins walk, but not as sandy, good for swimming with older kids though.
Bosa is just beautiful, great to while away some time enjoying the cafe culture. Supermarket with all you need only 10 mins drive.
Kitchen so well equipped, and views so stunning, that we mostly ate in, although there are plenty of good restaurants nearby. We particularly loved "Angelinos" - great pizzas, lovely setting, extremely friendly owner.
This villa is perfect for those who, like us, just want to relax, enjoy the sunshine,beach and pool without really going far; but is also perfectly situated as a base from where to explore many of the sites and beaches of this beautiful island - (several guide books in the villa).
We were a little concerned before our holiday that the heat would be too stifling, and that we would suffer without air-conditioning in the villa . Not so! Beautifully hot, but with a lovely gentle sea breeze making it always a comfortable heat, and the villa is so well designed that it stays cool all the time - even slept with the duvet on at night!
Wonderful holiday in the most stunning location - memory of the views will carry us through the grey english winter!
