Situated in the North of Mallorca, Puerta Pollensa is a popular family holiday destination. The beaches in this area are second to none. The historic market towns of Pollensa and Alcudia are less than a 10 min drive away and there are a plentiful supply of buses and taxis nearby should you not wish to drive. The local markets days on Sunday (Pollensa and Alcudia), Tuesday (Alcudia) and Wednesday (Puerta Pollensa). These towns also contain a fantastic collection of bars, restaurants and an array of shops featuring ceramics, art and crafts plus other local produce. The area surrounding Puerta Pollensa contains some of the most dramatic and amazing scenery to be found on the Island. The area is particular popular with cyclists, walkers & birdwatchers outside of the hot summer months. A little further north you can find one of the most picturesque beaches in the Med, the beach at Formentor (once used in the Bounty adverts) can be reached by a ferry that is a short stroll from the apartment
