Air conditioned 2 bed apartment with superb views of sea & mountains

The apartment is a modern, two bedroom, air conditioned apartment on the third floor of a private residential complex. The apartment's terrace overlooks the communal swimming pools and boasts fabulous panoramic views of mountains and the Mediterranean Sea. The terrace is not overlooked by any other properties and looking north along the coast of Costa Blanca the views extend some 20km. There is secure underground parking in the complex with a designated parking space. From this garage there are lifts to all floors within the complex. The complex has two swimming pools, one shallow and ideal for small children, and also has a tennis court, gym with sauna and basketball/5-a-side football court. The apartment is located in a quiet residential area just north of the Spanish Seaside resort of El Campello. Alicante, Villa Joyosa, several golf courses and the Theme Parks near Benidorm are all a short drive away. There is a bar/restaurant and shop immediately opposite the apartment complex.

Our apartment is near the Spanish coastal resort of El Campello with it's long white sandy beaches, making it an ideal destination for families. There is an excellent choice of restaurants, offering a wide variety of dishes. Local favourites include rice dishes and freshly caught seafood. Nearby Alicante is a large cosmopolitan city with beaches, a large marina, many shops, bars and restaurants, museums and El Castillo de Santa Barbara offering stunning views from its battlements across Alicante itself and the nearby San Juan. As well as many beaches in the area, all offering water sports, there is a selection of Golf courses and many places of natural beauty including mountain ranges. The theme parks near Benidorm (Terramitica, Terra Natura, Aqualandia and Mundomar) are all a short drive away along the N332. There is a tram which can be taken from El Campello which runs south into Alicante and north along the Costa Blanca coastline, through Villa Joyosa, Benidorm, Calpe and Altea.

A modern, air conditioned, fully equipped 2 bedroom apartment with a sofa bed in the living room enabling the property to sleep up to 6 people. The living room and double bedroom both have sliding doors directly onto the terrace which boasts superb views of the mountains and sea. Both bedrooms have ample storage space. There is a travel cot and highchair if req'd along with ironing facilities and a hair dryer. The large living room includes a dining table and six chairs. There is an LCD TV and a Spanish digital box offering 25 channels. The bathroom is fully tiled and includes a bath and shower. The kitchen is fully equiped and there is a seperate Utility room with washing machine and water heater. The property benefits from secure underground parking and there is a lift to all floors within the complex making access suitable for elderly/infirm and disabled guests. There is a large table and six chairs on the terrace for al-fresco dining. PLEASE RESTRICT SMOKING TO THE TERRACE ONLY

EL CAMPELLO

El Campello is a small Spanish Seaside Town situated on the Costa Blanca, just north of the City of Alicante. The Town boasts kilometres of beautiful, white sandy, blue flag beaches complete with a palm tree lined promenade and crystal clear blue sea. The town has many restaurants offering a wide range of dishes, with locally caught seafood being a speciality. There is a harbour at the north of the beach where a fish auction is held daily at 5.30pm. Next to the harbour is a 500 year old look-out tower used against invading pirates. Below this tower on a small rocky point called La Isleta are archaeological remains that date from 3000 years BC . Although English is not as widely spoken as it is in other places along the Costa Blanca, visitors will have no problems in being understood in the small gift shops and bars that line the main road (San Bartólome) running adjacent to the coast. From the tram stop in El Campello one can travel south into Alicante or north as far as Denia.

ALICANTE

Alicante is a large vibrant city with something for everyone. It too boasts long, white, sandy, blue flag beaches, has a large marina, many restaurants, pavement cafes, bars and nightclubs, a vast array of shops to suit all tastes and budgets, and places of historical interest such as 'El Castillo de Santa Barbara'. The castle sits high on a hill offering spectacular views across the city. From Alicante Marina boat trips run along the Costa Blanca. One popular trip is to the Isla de Tabarca, 17km off the coast. The island boasts secluded beaches and is ideal for snorkeling. You can even take a trip in a yellow submarine! The Museo de la Asegurada was formerly a prison but today this imposing 17th century building houses a collection of 20th century art including works by Spanish greats Picasso and Dali. El Barrio in the centre of the city is the throbbing heart of Alicante's nightlife. You can party until the morning here in a vibrant Latin atmosphere.

OTHER PLACES OF INTEREST

If you don't want to relax on a beach or enjoy a round of golf there are many other places to visit on the Costa Blanca within easy reach of the El Campello area. The picturesque towns of Villa Joyosa and Calpe are easy to reach by either car or train. Both are beautiful places to visit for a day and soak up the Spanish Culture. 25km inland from the coast is Guadalest. This mountain top village dates back centuries. There are fantastic views across the valley and reservoir, and many gift shops. Nearby are the Fonts d'Algar - Magnificent waterfalls and mountain springs cascade into wonderful pools, where, at certain times you can take a dip and cool off. Those who enjoy the thrills and fun of theme parks and water parks should head north to the outskirts of Benidorm. Terra Mitica and Terra Natura are both popular theme parks whilst Aqualandia guarantees a day of water rides and splashes. Mundomar (Seaworld) has many attractions, the most popular being the amazing Dolphin show.

The property is by far the best equiped that I have ever rented. The Apartments are situated in a safe and secure complex, with a pleasant swimming pool and games area making it ideal for families with children. The view from the terrace is fantastic. The town of El Campello is a ten minute drive away with an excellant sandy beach and a good selection of cafes and restaurants to choose from if you prefer to eat out (which I do). All our shopping was done at the supermarkets in El Campello, which again offers a wide variety of foods and goods. I look forward to booking at Cala D'Or Apartments and visiting the area again next year.
