Finca La Calerita for tranquility & traditional Canarian design
Finca La Calerita equals tranquillity and spectacular views and a life away from the city, a must for all ages wishing to experience the rural country life of Lanzarote. From its central location you are still only 4 km to the sea and an array of wonderful beaches. Equally you are also ideally placed to visit the many places of interest of which the island has to offer in abundance. Most created by the raw power of nature its self during the volcanic activity of centuries ago and are now areas preserved for all time, for everyone to visit and experience. The finca (Old Cottage) represents much of the islands past, and is designed to portray how the inhabitants of previous centuries use the volcanic rock in its construction, the clever use of the elements to supply ventilation and heating. This is truly an amazing experience. Not for those wanting satellite TV or modern games machines. This is a place preserved as part of the islands heritage and culture.

About Yaiza & Uga; Two enchanting villages within 2km of each other, and steeped in local tradition and culture. Both are more reminiscent more of North Africa than Spain, both for its architecture, brilliantly whitewashed houses and the surrounding vegetation. Uga in particular is famous for its fresh salmon. Yaiza is the principal village in the south of Lanzarote, and as such is responsible for the maintenance of the general area including Playa Blanca and El Golfo, and Timanfaya National Park. While in the village a visit to the 18th century church, whose tower rises over the main square is a must. Art lovers should go to the Galleria Yaiza which exhibits local paintings and ceramics, most of which are for sale. La Era restaurant is a 300 year-old farm, which has been beautifully transformed. The food is Canarian; the wine is made on the farm itself. El Campo restaurant down the road is a locals favourite, and has beautiful volcanic gardens, built into the volcano opposite.
Local activities diving, surfing, swimming, tennis, walking, sailing, cycling, fishing, horse riding, golf, wind-surfing, mountain biking, paragliding

Further details for the villa on Lanzarote, Canary Islands
On the mountain where you are located, the owner has developed a mini Safari park, which you can enjoy. There is horse riding from the stables below the Finca, a huge paint balling area and camel rides. For the very young there are ponies to try, all under supervision for guests of the finca you will receive one free ride for each one paid for on any of the above. If you need to quench your thirst you can have a drink at the beautiful at La Caravana Restaurant, which also serves and array of different foods all with in walking distance in the Safari park. To add to the fun we recommend a 4x4 but it's not essential although a car of some sort is recommended. We can help with this as well.
