The property is situated in a very charming, quiet and sunny position at only 3 min drive to the typical village of 'Panzano' with some shops , 'Grève' with its famous wineries is at 10mins. 'Grève in Chianti', the chief town of the Gallo Nero region, is home to Chianti's largest wine fair, held every September. The small village, named after the nearby river, expanded considerably during the 14th and 15th centuries, and, after the unification of Italy, became the most important centre of the valley.
Today you will find a wine shop around every bend, with some of the better ones being found in the Piazza Matteotti. The statue in the middle of the square is of Giovanni di Verrazzano, the man who discovered New York harbour.
The property is a perfect base to visit the 'Chianti' area and the major art towns of Tuscany, too,: Florence and Siena are at about 30mins drive. Not to forget the typical Tuscan cooking, the excellent olive oil and the many good restaurants.
