This lovely property is situated in the Tuscan hills amidst olive groves and is reached by driving through chestnut woods. It is an ideal spot for those who are looking to get away from it all and relax in a totally unspoilt location. The view from the terrace looks up into the beautiful hills of the Garfagnana, an area noted for its wonderful scenery. Both the bedrooms in the property have views over the terrace to the valley and hills beyond. It is ideally located for walking and exploring the local area. The beautiful city of Lucca is nearby with its historic churches and has close links with the composer Puccini. A pizza evening or a typical Tuscan meal can be cooked for you at Casa Casella just ask when you arrive.

Casa Casella is located in the hills beyond Lucca with the beautiful Garfagnana region only a short drive away. Lucca itself is a wonderful old city with cobbled streets and many areas of historical interest and is approximately half an hours drive from the property. In Lucca there are many restaurants and gelaterias where you can sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere. The beach is about forty-five minutes away by car and you can then either relax on the beach or take a boat from Viareggio to the Cinque Terre where you can picnic in the little coves and visit the small villages nearby. Florence can be reached either by car, which will take about an hour and fifteen minutes or, for a more relaxing visit without the worry of finding somewhere to park, the train from Lucca takes you right into the heart of Florence itself in about an hour and a half. Pisa, with the leaning tower and the Duomo, is about forty minutes away and should not be missed.
