Tranquil setting - just for couples - Loire valley apartment

Set at the end of a small lane, this first floor, newly built apartment has been designed as a quiet retreat for couples. The property is only 100 metres from the forest which is peppered with tracks suitable for walking and cycling, and is set at the top of a small hill with delightful views over the surrounding countryside of apple orchards and fields of corn and sunflowers. The accommodation comprises a spacious sitting room with a modern open kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine and microwave along with a large refrigerator and full size oven and hob, The bedroom has a large double bed with built in wardrobes and an ensuite shower room. The large garden has a sitting area with sunbeds and table and chairs and a barbeque for outdoor eating. Linen and towels are provided along with a small welcome pack complete with an excellent examples of the celebrated Loire valley wines. Only 5 minutes by car from the local village with an excellent shop, boulangerie, bar & restaurant.

Situated between Tours and Angers and 25 minutes from Saumur, renowned for it's magnificent chateau and the celebrated sparking white wines. The area around Saumur is surrounded by fascinating limestone villages and these are interspersed with the vineyards of champigny - a great red wine of the Loire valley. This whole region is known as the market garden of France as it produces a wealth of vegetables and solt fruits . Apple trees grow in abundance and Parcay les Pins is one of the main apple villages . Long the ancient homes of Kings of France, the Loire Valley has a wealth of magnificent chateaux to visit all within an hour of the property or less. Further west Angers - Department capital - is a delightful city to visit. The famous Coteaux du Layon wines grow to the south of the city and the extremely rare and fine area of white wine - the Savennieres is found to the west. A gourmet day of fine wine and accompanying Anjou dishes can be arranged with a local expect.

Golfers are very welcome! / golf club storage etc

The property is ideally located for many of the Loire valley golf courses. The local course is Baugé. This is a magnificent course, quite challenging and a full 18 holes. There is a restaurant at the club house and clubs, trolleys and buggies can be hired. There are many other courses near by - Saumur, Tours and Angers and information is available for most of them. Clubs can be stored at the property and help can be given if needed to reserve tee times etc.
