Superbly situated 2 bed ski apartment sleeping up to six adults and situated in the centre of Flachau. Fully equipped with underground parking and cellar for skis and boots the property is 250 m from the Star Jet gondola with private balcony facing ski slope. The famous Hofstadl Apres-ski bar is within walking distance as are many other popular bars and restaurants. There are numerous shops, coffee shops and a supermarket within walking distance. Flachau is part of the larger Salzburger Sportwelt and an ideal starting point for exploring the neighbouring villages of Wagrain, St.Johannn & Alpendorf. Also nearby and accessible through one lift pass are Flachauwinkl, Radstat, Eben, Filzmoos and Alenmarkt. Flachau is easily reached from the A10 motorway and is only a 50 minute drive from Salzburg airport or by direct shuttle.

Flachau is situated in the province of Salzburg and enjoys a fantastic interlinked skiing area and is at the centre of the Ski Amade ski area in the Salzburger Sportwelt. This area includes the villages of Altenmarkt, Zauchensee, Radstadt, Wagrain, Kleinarl, Filzmoos & St.Johann. It is surrounded by magnificent mountains and lies at approx 1000m above sea level with an excellent snow record with an extensive net of snow cannons. It is at the hub of one of Austria's biggest ski areas with over 860 km of piste and 275 lifts . The apartment is superbly located in the centre of the village, 250 meters from the nearest lift, and within easy walking distance of some excellent restaurants, bars and shops. The apartment is just 5 minutes drive from exit 66 of the A10.and a straightforward 50 minute drive from Salzburg airport. Cross country ski trails, hiking and biking trails pass and the ski bus if required are outside the property.

Excellent location - close to and facing the slope, great view - especially on New Year's fireworks, close to restaurant/pub - just 2. minutes walking.

The apartment is clean, comfortable, very well-suited for 4 people, although 6 would not be a problem at all; it is all equipped with anything you need for self-catering, as well as entertainment options (dvd movies, a good selection of jazz, internet cable); very warm and relaxing.
I would highly recommend this location for spending a great winter holiday!

An Excellent Week in Flachau

My wife and I stayed in this apartment with our two teenage sons. The apartment exceeded our expectations in all respects - very high quality and lots of space (much better than apartments we have rented in France). The location was good, walking distance from some nice restaurants and bars, close to the Star Jet lift and bus stops. For non-skiers, like myself, there is a great gym called Facade in Altenmarkt, just 10 minutes drive away. It was only 24 euros for the whole week and had plenty of equipment (all pretty new).

We shall recommend the apartment and Flachau to our friends and hope to return there soon ourselves.

Great holliday week

We stayed in the apartment in January 2009.
It was a beautiful apartment. Very neat en well-maintained.
It had all the luxury you need for e relaxed holiday, a dishwasher, washing machine and a television with DVD player.
The view from the balcony is great. You can see the ski slopes from the balcony and with a bit of sun it’s lovely to drink a beer out there.
The entrance and hallway of the complex was cleaned every day when we were there.
The bakery is apposite the complex and its less than 5 minutes walk to the ski lifts.
Also the restaurants in Flachau are great. We had dinner in Hogash, it’s a kind of steakhouse with very good food. There are several good restaurants within walking distance.
We had a great week and we will definitely come back here some day.

Great appartment

We had a very nice time and I have to say, the appartment was just great.

Very clean, good location (5 minute walking to skilift). Overall excellent and the family Lumley are nice people to rent an appartment from.


I recommend the appartment for everybody!
